Is anyone planning on attending the Easter Seals BBQ tomorrow up at Camp Sno-Mo?

My wife and I just got back from the camp it was great to see the kids. What surpised me how few NHSA members were there.

we figured we would go to meet the new commitee and wish them luck, but they were ALL no shows.

14 nhsa members, 1 county director 1 advisory board member.which rounded out to the 14.

Have a good summer.

I too was surprised to see no one from the executive board. No Pres,VP or any of the upper echelon. The closest we had was a Past President and his wife. Of which he probably hasn't missed very many of the open house days. A good day was had by all who attended but it would be nice to see more people, especially more of the people who run the show for NHSA. THANKS to Rob and Mike who see that this open house/appreciation day gets done every year.

All right people. There is plenty to disagree with the NHSA about, but do we really want to use the kids and families that use Easter Seals as a resource as pawns in some back room political drama? Pretty despicable if you ask me!

Little harsh there guy's... Skip's toe's are sore enough this week. Summer is a great time for BBQ's, the unfortunate thing is everyone is having some event or FAMILY gathering. We have to pick and choose our decisions where to be.

Look, I'm sure many of us have been with some Group and set tentative dates to attend or Participate event's ( in support of the group ) all in all, I'm sure the Families whom have been able to use the Generous support of the Faucility from all type's of group's involved Truly appreciate the dedication over the year's...

I should know, as well over the last 30 years' I had spread myself Way-to-Thin to be bale to make a working presense for every weekend, and 3 times during the week for non-Family functions...

August 16th is the next monthly meeting at the NHSA. That should be plenty of advance notice. Looking forward to seeing you there so we can cut out this internet crap and have a solid face to face meeting. See you in a few weeks! :)

Let me make one final point.

Thank you for electing me as Vice President of the NHSA. But let me make one thing painfully clear....you did not elect a "poltically correct" VP.

I ran on a platform of change.

Don't like what is going on at next year's ride in? Then show up at the August 16th BOD meeting and state your case. This includes you Dave, Bruce, Mr. 55 whoever you are and any of you other internet lurkers.

Carping on the internet is easy....showing up at a board meeting and stating your case (and complaints) in front of the entire board takes a real man (or woman) of conviction.

I am prepared to discuss how much has been spent on free rooms in the past, the lack of participation of certain former Ride-In members and the back room foolishness of those who refused to abide by simple rules at the August 16th BOD meeting.

I look forward to seeing all of you there that have called me or the Board out over this matter at the August 16th meeting. Trust me, I have answers to all of your complaints and allegations. I am chaffing at the bit to address your concerns in front of the entire Board of Directors.

And if you do not show up on August 16rth and address your concerns appropriately, be prepared to be called out in this exact forum.

Don't like my attitude or approach to this issue? Then don't re-elect me as VP in 2012.

I got back at 1 am from a 7 day cruise and learned at Port Canaveral yesterday that the ride in is at the T&C,,, so I am very confused why you think I am unhappy where the ride in is being held,,,,,, Yet you addressed ME first in your "group of villains" I am not the least bit disappointed the ride in is at T&C

I LIKE the T & C and the town of Gorham, this is truely a town that in the past has opened their doors to the ride-in. The first Ride-in I attended was in Gorham and at the T & C, had a fantastic time.

Other than knowing where it will be, nothing has been announce (don't expect anything this early, either, because of the location change. A simple fact not a complaint)

How did a simple question and comment about the Easter Seal's Annual Appreciation BBQ for the snowmobilers become a Ride-in issue?

My wife and I usually go to this event every year, but this year I had to help raise a bridge that was falling into a river on that day. Having been a board member for 5 years, I can say it is difficult to attend every event. When you are on the board, you are assigned to one or two committees so you end up going to 2 or 3 meetings a month year-around. It is a tremendous time commitment and I can understand them wanting to do something with their family on a hot summer weekend.

I thought Skippy was going call us out on the 17th. What happened? Its the 18th and not a word. Who showed up at the Board meeting on the 16th. I had a Masonic function to attend so I was not able to show. Keep us posted as to the FREE Rooms and the Committee members that did nothing at the Ride In. I would also like to see listed the simple Rules and the back room foolishness. I was a ride in committee member for 20 of the 39 Ride Ins and I did not see anything going on. I will admit that the last 2 years I did not run the antique show and ride and I spent the last 2 years laying around pool side and sipping totties at the Ride Ins expense so maybe I am the one you are talking about getting free rooms and not doing anything. But after 20 years I have had enough but lets see if that record can be broken.
