Could be, this is the first time ever they got into my lawn sprinkler control boxes and did some wire chewing.

I thought it was the NHSA On-line Membership control center.

I'm surprised the Take Back NHSA movement hasn't been rekindled after everything that's taken place lately.

Dave,If you stood next to that you would seriously doubt the sanity of anyone who thought that would be a good idea.

March 21, 2014 BRVSC Corridor 5

Shot with a Canon point-and-shoot digital camera. Might have been a better photo in black/white, and will try shooting some B/W pictures this winter The Canon A720IS is a pretty good camera for winter shooting from a sled, but the cell phone cameras keep getting better. My only complaint about the A720 is that the batteries go dead if it sits for any length of time unless you remove the batteries.

When I'm riding, I keep my camera in a case, with a handwarmer packet. Keeps it nice and warm all day, battery doesn't die.

The folks that do winter hiking have to be very aware of weather. On this day there were snow squalls that would reduce visibility to a few feet and I wouldn't want to be out there on snowshoes , much less trying to climb a mountain. I guess you could follow these in. Maybe they should paint the blades blaze-orange as a marker for hikers.

It's not an issue of cold, the problem occurs when the camera is left inside and turned off .It appears that some internal function is consuming electricity as long as the batteries are installed.

They do have a clock in them, and who knows what else when they are turned off. I do have to make sure mine is charged up if it has been sitting in a drawer for a month or two.

This post is somewhat related to the random photo thread. How many people here are still shooting pictures using "real" film? While I use a digital point-and-shoot camera while out on the sled, I also use a Canon AE1 with a Vivitar zoom. 35mm film is still easy to get, but film developers are getting scarce, and when you do find one they usually offer digital output rather than prints. I'm giving The Dark Room online site a shot, what do any of the film dinosaurs here use?
