Final Mileage for the 2017-2018 Riding Snow Season

Recommended Posts

I have started to take my sled apart for maintenance.    I won't be riding anymore this season.

Just before I did, I checked my final trip meter.

861 miles.

Apparently I was competing for the "lowest mileage award", because I did a pathetic 366 miles this year.  If you add in the small amount of mileage on the vintage sleds, I'll say 380 miles for the year total.  Sad...

I think I will have the lowest mileage for the year 0. Due to hubby getting a new job that had him doing snow removal and the tow vehicle dying, needs a starter. Not a good year :(

I'm at 360 for the year. Rode last in January, too busy and little desire to ride once the snow came back in March. Did have a really good trip in January though.

2954.  Mother Nature had us on a roller coaster, but conditions up north in March were best I've seen in a while.

Huge thanks to groomer operators from SDR, GTB, Colebrook, Stratford, and Umbagog for a job well done!

I'm under 300 miles for sure, I'll have to look when I get home, but this winter sucked for me. Too much going on every time it snowed. I'm on to next winter. Gotta order some part for the sled this summer and try to square away a few things on it so I had fewer issues next winter.

I'm at about 375 for the year. Lower than I was hoping for, February weather (too warm), and March  (riding partners had to work); and family issues didn't help.

Put mine away this year with 1440 miles for the season

We matched almost exact. Had some rain and melt where we frequent that sure didn't help. (less miles than usual)

Sadly about 360, which was about a third of what I did last winter

About 650, not bad considering every ride included my wife, a 3 year old and 7 year old. Some days it felt it would be easier to go to the moon than get everyone out on the snow.

Great post!

Your family may not have clocked as many miles as us, but you were certainly out on the trails as much!

I did 325 miles this year. Kinda tough when your tow vehicle is getting a new frame. But met some guy on the internet at the end of the season, and finished with a great ride

Yup...our average speed was something like 8 miles per hour on a couple of the days (which included snowman building time)...but still way better than not getting out at all.  : )

And about 175 groomer hours also!!!

How many miles do you get on 175 hrs. That's great that you can do that for your club....:)
