Come on now isn't anyone getting excited about the next storm?

Recommended Posts

Awful quite around here still...

*No info on the Snodeo

*No pictures or Gopro videos or any videos for that matter of the good times on the sleds

*No local trail tails and riding stories

*AND No new comments about NHSA

Guess I will have to just post a few pictures...

Rode home from Campton to Plymouth last week on the tracks.  Such a nice ride along the river, I don't care for the tracks but they were still okay that day.  Lots of history along the river that many probably do not realize and lots of things to stop and look at if we take the time to do so.  Our state has lots of areas of interest that we tend to just cruise right by.  The snow really does change the landscape by giving it a unique and calming serenity.  Almost ready for a fishing pole!

Nice pics. We don't even have Frost in the ground around here. Mother Nature pulled this crap last year as well. Maybe I'll get out again to run some gas stabilizer through the sled.

That's it right there. It's Spring in southern NH, so this is going on dirt/mud, then 40's after that. Annoying.

Hope this storm extends our season to when I usually ride to with maybe more on the way early next week.  I plan on riding this weekend plus and hope to get out on Friday if things work out.

Dave as county director it is your fiduciary responsibility  to get out and ride at least once!

There is base to be found for sure.

Maybe someone will throw together a last minute Progressive Supper and post some pictures.

Hope this storm gives the Burg more than a few inches ... the lower elevations need it bad

plenty of snow in the northern part of the system for good riding left, put on 150 miles Sunday and Monday morning

came back across Lake Francis and brought the 1200 up to 100 for a bit, glare ice with a dusting of snow .... felt great B)

Back Lake shootout March 17th ... 600 HP turbo's on the entry list ...

I just cracked 1000 miles for the season, hope to add a few more this weekend

Down by the Mass border there's a lot of 14"-16" reports. This was a southern storm.

You're right. Strange - I could see them when I posted it, but they were gone when I came back. Should see them now...

It's3 weeks late. I hope it at least helps the folks up north. Pain in the ass down here, just adds to the mud.

Took a sled out today to pack a trail and it was not a lot of fun. Sled wanted to go straight and getting on top of the snow was out of the question. A couple nights of cold temperatures would help, but wouldn't be likely to freeze up the brooks and waterbars. Hate to say it, but barring a major change, snowmobiling is gone for the season around here. This would be year 3 of short seasons.

Where are you located?    I just read this from a member of the Winnipesaukee forum that landowners have already closed trails

Any updates on the safety of the Lake ice? Interested to see if the north end snowmobile trails are accessible from three island northward.

Not sure on ice but most trails are closed for the season. Landowners do not want damage.

Loudon.

C15 runs through Loudon Village where I live, but it's posted as  closed on the club's web site. I doubt the gates are closed as sleds have been passing through. I was breaking a trail behind my house. You've heard of a "goat-path trail", right? This is a dog-path trail. My dog is getting old and likes to get out and sniff around, but doesn't like to plow through the snow anymore. My job is to make sure she get the first and avoids the second.

I drove out through Andover from the Tilton side to 89 today, alot of the rail trail that you could see from the road was down to dirt already.

Check out the Winnipesaukee forum , curious about safety of ice. The lakes around here are open water and I'm 50 miles from there. Safe if you want to take a swim I'm guessing.
