The last time I asked, I had to Submit a "FOIA" Request? The answer, "WE KNOW NOTHING"! Ya Vol Some things do not happen as planed. F&G has missed possible 3 Filing Dates so far. I think they were try for filing this past Friday 5/18/18. We hear the JLCAR hearing maybe in July. On the subject of ID Numbers, On the bright side of this matter, NHSA President, Beth Horvath-Palmer is trying to arrange at meeting with the Board of Directors to discuss the situation. I ran some Numbers Saturday for the Annual Meeting and if this goes through with NHSA being the ONLY source of "ID" Numbers, MSC could stand to loos 61% of its' Revenue! This includes Revenue from Online Membership, Agent Application, Donations, Maps and Decals. Hopefully this Meeting will resolve these concerns. Thank you, Beth. smthopr8r 24 Report post Posted July 21, 2018 Apparently its over, the clubs just got a giant f you from NHSA and NHF&G. Our notification came from the Tilton brass on Thursday that only the NHSA voucher will be accepted as proof of membership for the registration discount. There goes 50% or more of our satellite sales member source . We do not want to buy devices to put at all the locations and can't expect the agents to deal with that part of it. This is the beginning of the end for many clubs and sadly it seems that our association is single minded in there quest for total control of all the clubs, and anything related to rules and registration. I was scolded once before for making negative comments about the association and told that there is a proper chain to address the issues. Well see how that works, many people rallied against this rule and showed the impact on the clubs, trying to stop the impending freight train of power hungry people. The system does not work. I am disappointed, and having a tough time staying positive about the NHSA, and the NHF&G. Thank you to all who lobbied hard to stop this ruling, and most importantly good luck to all the clubs in dealing with this obstacle. 1 1 WINNOCTURN and RK-SXViper reacted to this
RK-SXViper 144 Report post Posted July 21, 2018 I couldn't agree more with you and have also been wrestling with how a lot of clubs will deal with this issue. A lot of people have been saying for years that the discount program just does not work anymore and is more trouble than its worth, well I'm starting to agree with them. I see more people at their local dealer saying "to heck with it" and registering as non club members because the extra hastle just isn't worth it. This is a double edged sword because clubs will suffer but GIA will receive some extra funds that are much needed. I can already hear people saying that only the strong clubs will survive, well I hope those strong clubs are willing and able to take over the trails for the small clubs that go under. I'm personally finding it hard to advocate for a group that seems more worried and focused on their bottom line than the well being of the clubs that make this sport happen. Maybe its time for clubs to push harder for donations and ask their members to register as non club members which will give more money to GIA and less to the other group. If we don't find a way to put more into GIA then a significant registration increase will be inevitable. I'm sure we'll have a lot to discuss at upcoming club meetings. 2 smthopr8r and WINNOCTURN reacted to this
WINNOCTURN 60 Report post Posted July 21, 2018 (edited) MSC stands to possibly loose up to $18,000 next Season if we can not continue our ONLINE Membership and our DEALER Memberships. These 2 avenues of Memberships made up for 61% of our Membership this year.WE need "VD Numbers" to operate these Systems. I will be contacting Beth this week to open up a Discussion we had on NHSA working with Clubs by possibly granting "Blocks of VD Numbers to keep Clubs functioning. NHSA has NO WAY of handling the Dollar Amount of DONATIONS, Sales of MAPS and Decals that are generated at the time someone makes out an Application to join our Club. Example of High dollar donations, $300.00 or even $500.00 are not uncommon. IT's what you call ONE STOP SHOPPING. I am all for Changing the RSA and eliminating the Discount. With out the Discount Clubs could possibly LOWER their "DUE" by the $10.00 built-in to cover the NHSA. You would only Need to join THE CLUB. What's been TRASHED here is the simple language of "YOU MUST BE A "MEMBER OF A CLUB" that is a Member of NHSA to qualify for the Discoun It's either sit in my "Recliner" all Day or be obsessed with this 24 hours a days! It's one of the advantages of being RE-TIRED. Number of People who viewed this post form WINNI.COM since 11:40 AM (2:21pm) VS maybe 3 on SLEDNH! Freedom Rider 209 Report post Posted July 21, 2018 This subject is just the first FU to the snowmobilers in New Hampshire. It is even a bigger FU to the clubs. The next is on its way.The following will be the start of the end of the clubs in NH. It will be the beginning of NHSA promoting snowmobilers going to Maine and Vermont. How do you think the support will be of $150.00 registrations for first step followed by $180.00 per sled registration thereafter? Clubs having to pay 100 % for all groomers, refurbs, and repairs? This what the braintrust in the blackhole better known as Tilton is working on. The following was presented at a County meeting this spring. See below: 1 WINNOCTURN reacted to this
smthopr8r 24 Report post Posted July 22, 2018 I am horrified by this Jeff. The freight train is coming. And HQ wants clubs that want to use there online sales to sign off that no matter what happens, you agree not to go to the ag office, state of NH, F&G or anyone other than Tilton brass to discuss your issue. Then you will be considered a problem, and ignored. Registering in Maine only, is looking better and better. 1 1 Bilbo and Freedom Rider reacted to this
ckf 295 Report post Posted July 23, 2018 It looks like NH is trying to be like VT and price themselves out of the market. Sure, they may still get NH residents and second home owners, but Maine will be the winner at the end of the day. 1 Freedom Rider reacted to this
