Ride on Sunday?

Recommended Posts

Was planning to come up and ride with my brother on Friday, we cancelled for obvious reasons (which I shall not name).

It's hard for met to know how much cover there is there from my perspective, what is the thought of there being enough left to ride on for Sunday?

Can you still park and ride from the lot at the entrance to the Lakes Region Casino? I did that a few years back, had good ride from there, and it isn't too far north.

Thanks for the input.

I think it might be tough sledding that far south on Sunday. Even up north it's going to take a few days after the cold returns to get the trails back in shape.  I hope I'm wrong though.

Yes, and they have done a great job plowing the lot.  Agreed, some nice riding from there...especially heading towards New Durham.

I stopped by there Tuesday morning and the trail was freshly groomed too.  Sad to think of what conditions will be now.  :(

This is part of a post from the Baker River club last night: "We're off to a great start, but every day this week gets warmer! The next 2 days are not going to help us much. Guess this is our January thaw. Most clubs in the area are asking riders to stay off the trails this weekend in hopes of preserving what base there is. We'd sure appreciate it too!"

The snow at my snow stake here in northern Vermont went from 26" two days ago to 6" by late this afternoon. All of the fields around here are bear and there is lots of standing water in low spots.

Thanks for that update. I rode from there once, enjoyed it, hope to do it again this year.

But not tomorrow...
