So, why aren't people happy?

Recommended Posts

A snow storm before Christmas followed by almost two weeks of very cold temperatures, then another big snow storm and what looks like more cold weather. Why aren't I seeing a lot of great trail reports and generally good news? Looks like we'll have snow from Salem to Pittsburg, isn't that a good thing?

Trail Admin:  Snow on xmas day means "Why aren't the trails opened and groomed".   Friggen cold weather to clear all the blowdowns and open all the gates.   Broken Groomer (twice).   When things get settled down and running I will be happy, but starting up operations is miserable.

Yes, but if we're going to complain about cold and snowy conditions and and warm and no-snow conditions, what is a good thing?

Some people aren't happy unless they are complaining...

Snow came too soon, ground isn't frozen...

It's not the right kind of snow, too fluffy...

Too cold...

Melting too fast...

My sled isn't ready...

I'm sure there are a hundred more.  :80:

Right now there appears to be a good snow pack, and tomorrow I'm going out to check things out.. I'll try to not complain.

Looks pretty amazing out there to me..............

And I've got a Panther long-track that looks like the right sled to check things out.  I suspect my local clubs won't have been through the local trails.

I'm happy (other than our just filled oil tank taking a hit).

We are having riders go anywhere that is "white"  with some VERY unhappy landowners,  first pass is pretty rough,, and then the ICE on trees, ,,,,,,, somehow I feel  LATE January will feel better to me,,,

I CAN SAY,,,,,,,,, Im happy the snow is here NOW so that we will get the wrinkles fixed and have a longer season than in the last few seasons!

You are so correct!!!

People have too much free time if they have time to complain.

Be happy the options are not so good.

Live Life, Ride a sled like you stole it!!

Have some fun, that's why I ride!!!

No complaints here about the snow.  Just complaining about the groomer having some issues...always a treat the first few times out to work out the kinks that plague all machines.

And my loader not wanting to start to plow the shop and driveway.

Going to see Recycled Precussions at the Flying Monkey tonight and then riding.

BEAUTIFUL conditions! If you're complaining then you shouldn't be riding!

Well said. My family has already clocked more miles in central NH than we did all of last year...and it's only first week of January! ☃️

You beat me to the punch, lol!

We've done several day trips to Rumney already.  Might do some night runs once the temps are above zero! :drinks:
