jhwentworth 307 Report post Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) The lack of replies to this post indicates, to me anyway, that many people here don't know, or care about, Craig Mayo. I think the award was for the Colebrook club, not for this individual, so congratulation to this club. rneal55555 12 Report post Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) The Award was the Second Annual Ray Burton Memorial Trail Project Award. Craig was Accepting for the Colebrook Skibee's. Quote The $1,000 award will be used by the club for the construction of the Raymond S. Burton Rest Area at the Grand View Snack Shack, along with the associated signage. Ray Burton was the longest-serving Executive Councilor in New Hampshire history and a supporter of snowmobiling across the state. In tribute to Burton and his contributions to Snowmobiling in New Hampshire, the NHSA Board created an annual award of $1,000 for a snowmobile trail project that is both fitting to him and continues his legacy of service to New Hampshire Snowmobiling. Every club is eligible to apply each year and the applications are scored in a manner similar to the Scholarship apps. on a point system by 3 independent scorers the Application with the highest average points is selected. The Idea is to do something to Honor the memory of Councilor Burton for his long service to the state and snowmobiling and do it in a way that benefits Snowmobilers.
