rickzach 4 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Why so quiet on slednh.com last year and so far this year? Did the entire world migrate to Facebook? I'm an old fart and I also use Facebook a lot but where did the people go? Edited November 6, 2016 by rickzach
noxorc 72 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 I don't believe last year's winter is worth mentioning. 6 miles total...in my own yard. All gates were closed near me. 1 snorander reacted to this
ckf 297 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 Good question. And I think you answered it already, Facebook. I read on FB but don't post all that much with the exception of promoting my nekwx.com website and @noxorc drone group. IMO forums are a much better place for this type of website. Forums are much easier to search and follow. However people seem to like having everything in one place. In it's heyday SledNH had 10 advertisers that covered the cost of the software and the server. We are down to three now and that isn't enough income to run the site. That's why I started offering Contributing Memberships. But that hasn't really taken off either. I'm committed to keeping it going for now even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket. I may not live in NH anymore, but SledNH.com is part of me. The site will turn 10 years old this coming April. 1 noxorc reacted to this
smthopr8r 24 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Big brother has made it difficult to voice opinions on this site if you want to work with them. Freedom Rider 209 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 I am sure the NHSA would love this forum to go away. The truth always hurts. They probably would love all social media to go away EXCEPT when they are looking for money or membership. To them that is all one in the same.

Sucks to get old, doesn't it? I need to use readers when trying to read cooking instructions for food.

With the pending Consumers Complaints there maybe timely changes prescribed by the AG's Office. If ignored again, God Help NHSA. ONE or 2 Flushes would make big difference! Rock On 78 Report post Posted November 6, 2016 Agreed that Facebook may be stealing some of the show here, but this still a great site for snowmobilers in NH to come to for info and Shifty is right once the snow hits traffic will increase.
