Where's all of the hype about this weekends grass drags? I just checked the NHSA Facebook page, nothing there.Their last post was on 9/30 about the OHRV Coalition to Return Northern Pass Money. No posts about it here on SledNH. I also checked HCS and there was a thread there started by a vendor in MN. It just seems like there just isn't the hype that there used to be.

I checked th NHSA web site one small little poster on the left side you would think it would cover the whole page!

I guess business is so good they do not need to advertise!

Left at 8:30am and got there by 9:30am

I'd say the crowds were about 1/4 capacitity.

My Wife even went to keep me company.

Stopped at every vendor pretty much.

Of course spent time looking over and openning

all the panels and storage places on the Blizzard

at the main Ski Doo trailer. Went over to the Polaris

trailer and sat in the 3 wheeled Slingshot. Kinda kewl

and my Wife is all set to sell her HD Trike to buy one.

Problem she does not know how to drive a stick shift.

We stopped at the Weare Sled club trailer and got some

fries. Was looking for Eugene because he always talks to

me on Facebook. Never got to see him thou. We then watch

the Water Drags then looked at some more vendors and

found John at SnoWorx to say hello. Also found Lenn Johnson

at his tent and checked out his LED lighting he has for sleds.

Then went and watched the Water Ovals and then watched the sled and

bike air show. All and all had a good time. The $40 for 2 people was sort of

steep but still a good time. Leaving the parking lot sucked !

We were in the far back field and some brain child at NHSA

had 2 lanes coming in off of Rt.125. You would think after 1pm

they would have made it a 2 way road. It took the idiots about

a half hour of backed up traffic to make it a 2 way.

I also met Brad Noyce who with John repaired my sled and we

talked for awhile. I have pictures of the Water Ovals on my

camera and will post them later.

Being a good sledding wife, the Mrs. brought the kids to keep the tradition going. They all had a ball of course. I bought the kids some earmuffs for the noise this year. It was a real good move, they loved wearing them- unlike ear plugs and they worked great for them!

Hype or no hype, sledders and non sledders alike knew about today's unofficial start to snowmobiling season. Thanks to all NHSA's volunteers for a great job this weekend!

BTW, what's facebook?

There is NO REASON you do not go with the sled ypu have now !

Their trails are usually smooth as hell so there is no excuse

why you can't go.

Why don't you start saving a few bucks now and come share

a cabin with me and others ?
