For obvious reasons we are forced to cancel our previously postponed winter carnival this weekend. We are however planning our annual golf tourney, hopping to fill the course with snowmobilers this year!! Stay tuned!

We had a blast at the pine cone lodge, headed up Thursday morning unpacked suited up and hit the trails. We rode around scoping out a route for Friday, 100 miles later, we heading back to SDR to fuel up for the morning. While there we had extras to fuel up. The cc machine was a lottery and was having trouble accepting cards. I'll let them explain... Then it started to rain and preceded to rain until 11 that night. We were planning our Friday trip to St Catherine St, but, to our surprise we woke up to 6" of new pow! We suited up and broke trail most of the morning, staying in elevation until our tanks needed filling. We headed down to Youngs and Happy Corners filled our tanks and headed back out to elevation. We ran into puddles, mud and bare ground around the usual areas this time of year but trails higher were great. We rode on freshly groomed most of the way back, trails were great considering the night before. SDR and PRR did great as usual, They really had their work cit out for them with all the water. They kept everything safe. We heading back to Denny's, logging 283 miles. For a total of 283 for the year. We loaded up and crashed without dinner. Lodge was great, trails were great. We had a great time. Thanks again!!

SOS will be having our annual winter carnival on february 19 at the Freedom Town Forrest airstrip. We will have a 1000' radar run on packed snow. Also a poker run, food tent, and other activities. Hope to see you there!
