We are going up for our annual St. Pattys Day weekend trip to the Burg. Usually there is still some great snow to leave from lopstick, but I am thinking this year we wont be able to leave from Lopstick with this weeks temps. We were planning on trailering up to Deere Mt. to park in that area.

What are some of the best trail routes to take from Deere Mt. with the best snowpack? We are still looking to do a good 100 miles a day. We will be bringing gas with us becuase I know you probably won't be able to get to gas this weekend. Any info is appreciated!

Does anyone think we can still leave from Lopstick next weekend either across the lake or to hit the trail from Lopstick and get to the good stuff ?

I'd stay in the elevations, 141 143 112. The map shows elevation so any trail that goes over or through a mtn is your best bet. avoid the inner trails when you can.

You should get your story straight, the family of 3 almost killed me because I was first in line and they were cutting the corner off, rick wasn't so lucky because he was so far into the bushes that he hit something that threw him into the path of the other sled. It pisses me off that these people can ride on the wrong side of the trail and blame it on someone else. It's a good thing he can ride or it would have been a lot worse. I am now going to start turning in all of the people who think they can take up the whole trail just because they can.

No Yamaha in our group

No, yammie guy I was speaking of was alone, think he was boondocking. Like I said he went in hot, been guilty of that before mysef regretfully.

WMUR Story

Sounds like The Burg was very crowded this weekend from posts I have read. Must have been a lot of riders trying to get in 1 more trip before the predicted warm-up.

I wonder if I saw that guy, I was corning, right ski in the woods, when in front of me was an apex with a decked out snow cross helmet wearing dude in my lane. I had to litterally go around him to the left as he had no control. Got my heart rate up a bit. Neither of us were going too fast at the time, he went in too hot and ended up in front of me. That was early Friday. I can't image riding on weekends in the only place that has snow. It's always bad to get negative exposure and no positive. I hope everyone is ok.

Barry told me that you rescued them at the SDR pumps. They tried three different credit cards at the pumps without any luck. For whatever reason the pumps liked your credit card though :good:

It's not used much, guess that made the difference. Ran into Barry again on Friday, helped pull someone out of the ditch. He said Jim was around littering the trails with the contents of his rear bag. Steve and Jean were around too but didn't see them either. Had a good time.
