Going to upgrade to an enclosed trailer, probably in the next week. My sleds have been stored in a shed the last few seasons. Gets crowded in there, with the snow blower, lawn tractor, lawn mower, weed whacker, table saw, and various other tools, toys and stuff.
Thinking about putting the sleds in the trailer for the summer. How hot does it get inside those things, and is it bad for the sleds, compared to the shed? Both are in full sun, no trees to hide them under.

Ski Doo Question
15 March 2012 - 10:45 AM
My son-in-law had a 2006 (I think) MXZ800. I think it's time to change the chaincase oil. On my Polaris sleds, there is a plug underneath that I can use to drain the old oil, pretty easy.
Is there a similar plug on the Revs? Or to I have to resort to something more complex an messy to get the old oil out?
Thanks.

Broken Zipper on Cover
08 March 2012 - 08:22 AM
Zipper broke on my cover last weekend. Rest of it is in pretty good shape. Looking for ideas for an alternative way to close it up. Could just put a patch on it, but would like to be able to fill the tank with the cover on.
Any ideas??

Rode in Maine Over the Weekend
31 January 2012 - 07:30 AM
Make our annual family triip to Maine this weekend. Been renting a cabin near Greenville, and riding with the guys in the family. Two new people in the group this year, a cousin, and my new son-in-law (Got married January 1st). We didn't expect much snow, but the plans were made, and the cabin was paid for, so off we went. Didn't look good until we got about 20 miles from the cabin, then we started to see some snow on the ground. There was enough snow to ride Thursday evening, but just barely.
Got up Friday morning to 6 inches of new snow, and had a great day riding Friday and Saturday. Managed to get up the the B-52 crash site. It was amazing to see the plane parts spread all through the woods, and to imagine what happened that night.
Rode on my NH registration for the weekend, so I have gotten some benefit from it...

Jumper cables
29 November 2011 - 12:42 PM
Bought a heated sheild, was the better part of $100 at Smart Powersports. Since shipping is free for orders over $100, I figured I would add to the order, to get it to $100, rather than pay the $10 for shipping.
Added these:
Cables
They look like they will work fine. Fit in a quart size zip lock. If I had a four stroke sled with no recoil start, I would consider it a must have.
Can also use it for the lawn tractor, or anything else with a small battery.
