Any Jeep Guru's in the house?
08 February 2012 - 07:12 AM
So my wife has a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 4.7L V8 it also has a Python remote starter. Recently the remote starter has stopped working and I am having intermittant starting problems with it. Sometimes when you put the key in and turn it you get nothing, maybe just a faint click no gauges etc. after fiddling with it for a while it will start up and run fine. Sometimes it starts fine with no problems at all. I assumed that the smart key was going bad so I had another one made($70). Unfortunately it does the same thing. So now I am wondering if there is something wrong with part the reads the smart key. When i get a chance I will dissconnect the remote starter so I can rule that out. Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this problem before and can point me in the right direction. I am desperately hoping to avoid the dealer.
Thanks,

Had a great Ride this morning with noxrox, newfoundskidoo, & coldbrew. Started at profile Falls in Bristol rode south to Franklin to catch the railroad bed and all I can say is wow! From Andover to where ever the heck we ended up going to (south of Canaan I think) it was smooth, flat, & fast. What a great ride, much better than I was expecting! Off to watch the game....
