Speedo and odometer weren't affected by the 265's, I checked the odometer reading with a measured mile here in Concord and had the speedo checked at the garage at the time. I was told that because they were mounted on the stock rims it wouldn't change the speedo or odometer. If I had gone to a tire larger than 265 then I would have had to change the rim and have the computer re-programmed.

We have a 2002 Silverado 1500HD that we took the 245's off and put the Michelin LTX 265's on the stock rims. Handles much better in towing (so I'm told since I don't drive with the trailer behind it) and definitely much better in snow; however it did decrease mileage about 2-3 MPG's. Great tires, stated they are good for 60K and we got about 70K. We switched back to the 245's, got our gas mileage back (had to at almost $4.00 gallon then), and now have LTX 245's that have about 70K on them now with still some tread. Should take us through the summer.
