Webmaster:
Several users on Metrocast are still being pointed to the old site. May be some sort of DNS issue?? I am one of them but from my verizon wireless card can get to the new site. Anyone know how to get everyone pointed to the new site. There is a thread on the old site wanting to know how to solve this???

Awesome Ride and where is this????
24 February 2011 - 09:35 PM
I took the day off from work on Wednesday and took a ride with a friend and my 16 yr old. We usually ride in the Lakes region and have been up to Pittsburg twice in the past two years but we've been doing a lot more exploring this year. We decided to trailer up to Groveton and ride to Pittsburg. None of us had ever done this before. What a great day. The trails in Groveton (Nash Stream) up to Colebrook and all the way to Pittsburg were absolutely amazing. The clubs had everything groomed to perfection and we went 40 miles before we even saw another sled. It was 70 miles up to Young's store for gas and a quick bite to eat. We mostly took different trails back down and went far East of Colebrook on the way back. Somewhere, in the middle of a tree plantation we ran across this sled in a tree with a manequin in a snowmobile suit pointing at it. I took a picture but don't know where we were at the time. Does anyone know where we were? We stopped and talked to a few people on the trails. Everyone was enjoying the perfect day and the perfect conditions. Great job by all of the clubs. One of the best rides I've ever had. We had 140 miles of nearly perfect trails. I just may do it again next week...

New Trailer
05 October 2010 - 05:27 PM
This is my fourth year sledding and I've never owned a trailer. The first two years were fantastic as I rode all of my miles right from my garage. Last year, with little snow, I was able to catch a ride up to Pittsburg and got some miles in up there. We decided that we needed to get mobile and be able to chase the snow. I just ordered a Pro-Line 14 foot 101" wide trailer for our two Poloaris Switchbacks. So, my question is...what did you do to outfit your trailer? I have the basics:
Spare tire and holder
Tie downs
What else should I have? helmet holders?, clothes hangers?, tool box. I'm looking for your years of wisdom and knowledge to a trailer newbie. Thanks.

Trip to Canada
20 October 2009 - 06:19 PM
My friend, my son and I would like to ride from Meredith NH to La Patie, Canada and beyond this winter. We have done quite a bit of riding the past 2 years and it isn't unusual for us to leave the house and ride 150 miles a day. I have a few questions that I am hoping that all of you wise people on the forum could answer for me. We've left Meredith and gone as far as Lancaster so I'm pretty sure that we can get the rest of the way. I've mapped it out and there seems to be plenty of gas along the way. We have insurance, passports and should not have any problem getting into Canada. Here are my questions.
1. My son is 15. Web sites in Canada say that you must be 16 unless you are able to ride in your home jurisdiction. which of course he can. Has anyone experienced riding in Canada with someone under 16. We would like to ride in Canada for a day or two once we get there and don't want to get sent back.
2. Are there good trails once you leave NH and get to La Patrie?
3. Anything else we should be aware of?
Thanks for your input.
