In Topic: As I get older I wonder how old are most riders ?

I'm 47 and this is only my 5th year riding. My 17 yr old rides with me and has for the past 4 years. This year my daughter took an interest. I'm hoping to make this a long term family sport.

They will dive for it and bring it up with inflatable bags just like a boat. Water at that depth is the same temperature winter or summer. It stays in the mid 30s year round.

on my afternoon ride last Saturday, we left Youngs, took a direct shot up to 142, rode across the "unmaintained" trail and back up 142 and back and it was 57 miles. A nice second ride after the first 110 miles. I would guess that it is longer than 15 miles since the unmaintained trail is 9 miles and starts in about the middle of 142.

In Topic: Who else got to ride the 30 miles of moguls from rangely to Pittsburg!

I too rode the terrible trails towards Rangely. I say towards Rangely because 15 miles in, we decided it was way too bad and turned around. The bose buck groomer was full of snow and had never been out Friday. Very dissapointing. Came back to Pittsburg and rode 160 miles on Saturday afternoon. Trails up high were excellent. Congrats to the PRR for handling the traffic and putting the effort into making it a great weekend. Clearly, the Vermonters and the Mainers that came to Pittsburg got the good deal. I talked to some Vermonters that were new to Pittsburg and said they would definately be back. From the look of the restaurants on Saturday night, I'd say Pittsburg won.

When I read your first post, I would have guessed that you had a pinched oil line from origninal manufacturing and the extra oil in the gas tank that the dealers usually put in for break in kept you going for the first 200 miles. I was surprised to hear that it could be pulled over when it got warmed up and that they think it froze up. I was in Pittsburg on Saturday and Sunday also and we left our sleds outside all night Saturday night and had no issues starting any of them even at -15 degrees at 7:15AM when we left to ride. My only complaint is that my seat was really hard. :-) One on my buddies used to have an 800 Ski doo w/o electric start and I've pulled it at -10 degrees many times. It did pull hard but we could always turn it over and get it running.

Something just doesn't sound right with this sled. It may never happen again but you won't know until it does. I'd keep working with the dealer.
