Pete, you seriously moving to Utah? Just for the winter, or permanent?
Congrats on the new Polaris. Wayne must be proud of you!

If things go through with a business deal I will have a lot less commitment to the Rochester area so I will definately take advantage of my new found freedom and financial situation. I am headed back there next week for a two day backcountry session. A good friend of mine lives in Park City. It is friggin amazing out there. You would pretty much fall in love instantly with it. I might rent something out there for the winter next year and see how it goes. If that happens I will have two sleds in the garage for a backup sled and for my east coast friends that want to visit :drinks:

Not sure what Wayne thinks, he doesn't talk to me much these days, don't know why :nea: .

I completed removal with my pruning saw. I have the skid in the vice right now to straighten it where the axle bent it and ordered a new HCR axle assembly that might be a little stronger. Working on jet skis this weekend ;)

Everything bends when you try to split granite with ski tips  . It is a lot easier than swapping S-modules. The trail sleds look like a combination of the best motors in the M series (800) and the Z1's (1100 turbo) in the sno pro race chassis. Word on Snowest is they eat bumps 100% better than the old Firecat based chassis. They can go down a whooped out trail flat and level while the 2011 chassis can barely stay on the trail at the same speed. If I was a trail rider I would be more excited about the new cats but the M series didn't get to the 430 pound mark I was hoping for. It is going to cost me a lot to loose that 35 pounds so I am goin gto sno check an ornage Pro RMK 800. At least it comes in a Cat (KTM) color :)

Hopefully Polaris stopped getting their electrical systems from 1975 MG's

I have a fair amount of experience digging out  and highly reccomend he sno bungee Cobra (2hooks) and a rope ratchet. You can really stretch the bungee out witht he rope ratchet tied to a tree or other sled on solid ground. Then with a wiggle the stuck sled pops out. Saves my back and my life on occasion.

I can actually get more work out of this setup than with one average stregnth person helping me. It works best with the rope ratchet pulling away from the bungee as you tighten it.
