well the nice thing is the existing trails are real close to ready and I gave up on the new trail for now, was trying to get all permissions for a RTP grant in January that is out . Maybe next year. The trail was to be around Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham across Fish and Game the forest society and four other land owner and was mostly there. may be I will get the wind back in my sails and make it happen. When I see a dad with his kids out for a fun ride that is all encouragement as a land owner I need

Grooming Information
(Based on a good snow base, the weather, and operator availability)
The PMSC has 83 miles of trail, 20.5 miles of that is part of Corridor #22 and 14 miles is part of primary trail #351. We groom in the towns of New Durham, Farmington, Rochester, Alton, Middleton, and Brookfield in Strafford, Bellnap, and Carroll counties.
The range of grooming speed is 3 to 5 miles per hour and averages about 4 mph for the year. The lower and southern trails in the past were groomed up to 10 weeks a year with an average of 6 weeks. The upper and northern trails in the past were groomed 6 to 13 weeks a year with an average of 10 weeks. The club Groomers are two 2005 tucker 1000.
The attached chart shows that during a week with good snow and heavy use we have groomed 106 hours per week. During a week with heavy snow we have gone over 120 hours in one week. As a club we might groom over 1000 hours if needed.
We are asking for 800 hours for 2009-2010 season. Based on the fact that we used over 800 hours in 2007 and we used under 700 in 2008 with no grooming in March. Please do not ask us to continual to groom the best and heaviest used trail system in the area with less hours per mile then other clubs.
Note: We are so close to major cities that our trails are ridden day and night during the week as well as weekend. If the trail system along Rt. 11 is not groomed all most daily then it must be double groomed to restore. I question and inspected and found to be true and all the other areas are well within your guidelines.
