Dealer parts service, does this make any sense?
21 January 2012 - 10:16 AM
So I'm an internet person, but I try to support the local dealer. Everytime I go for a part I have to order it seems. (Well my sleds are around 10yrs old so ok). But what pisses me off is I have to call to see if the part is in. Wasn't told this earlier experiences, I just called on a whim to see if it was in and was told yup. So i'm ok, just a fluke. Today my wife called and they told her to call tuesday or wed. Does this make any sense at all. They should be calling me when its in. I realize they get lots of parts in but for me to call everyday and ask is it in is a waste of my time and there time. Am I off base here? Are all dealers like that?
Arctic Cat ZL heated shield question
29 December 2011 - 10:58 AM
I would like to run a regular RCA shield plug for a 2000 ZL. It has the odd AC shield plug. I was thinking of tapping into the same spot wiring wise for the new shield. Good/bad/better idea?
The kids are dying, new (used) sleds for all of them and not a lick of snow. Bought them snowshoes for christmas too. I guess hooking up the generator didn't help either.

Polaris Helmet questions
17 December 2011 - 09:44 PM
One of my sons ended up with a Polaris Youth helmet. Would like to get him a electric shield, but a couple of questions. Do I have to get a Polaris shield? Who makes the helmets for them?
I had to buy a new helmet for number one son at the snow show and for $129 I was able to get helmet and electric shield. Should have probably bought number two one also.

Pricing, NADA and such
04 October 2011 - 08:12 AM
So I'm looking for a 380F or maybe a 500 for my oldest son. Something in >2000 classic or legend/mxz. Anyway I see a 2002 mxz 380f, ok shape, 2800 miles. I look up NADA and it has a price around 1400, the asking price is significantly more. Almost double. Is NADA off that much or is the seller? I threw out an offer but they feel it's worth the asking price. Am I foolish to think the used price guides are accurate? Do dealerships use them when doing trades?
Thanks
