Great place to pick up a sandwich and they make their own chips is Bart's deli. It's just about on the corner of Bear Notch Road and 302. Also, there is additional parking on the 302 (Bartlet) side further up 302 than at Bear notch road as well. I believe it's the Sawyer River road access point. Saw sleds and trailers parked there last weekend.

Malone just sold 350 acres in NH and has allowed sled to cross that property for many years. It will now have 130 foot high power lines on it for the Northern Pass. I am sure he made a good profit on that sale.

Its horrendous to see landowener being told that they will get a one time lump sum fee as determined by the Northern Pass, taken by eminant domain.
I am looking at a one time payment of probably around $7,000.00 to have power lines across my property for life. And the kicker is, the land values does not get depreciated for the towers by any substantial sum,I have to pay the taxes for their usage of my property. Oh what a deal they are offering. I tried to take with them about them leasing the portion they want and they said no way, that's not the way we operate.
Unbelievable what they are trying to get away with. At this point, they have not even considered using the existing route through Vermont.
We'll see what the big announcement is suppose to be next week. Another re-route?????
