I heard the F&G was going to prohibit any wheeled vehicles on the ice...but that might be only certain locations. -

Rick, drop @ Canoe King, ride across the street into the park, go until you pass the "sentry hut", take the next right. That section is self contained and gets very little use. You could also drop on Rt25 East at the ballpark (Constitution park) and ride south across Rt25 from there. You might see 3 sleds all day on this section, as nobody comes across the lake. The trails are flat, and nice. The coverage in the fields where you drop there is sketchy, but in the woods beyond it's fine. Hasn't been groomed though. If you do drop there, do not go past the 6 acre field that is just after the green mt road crossing.
It's about 3 miles down the trails from Rt25.
The mt. section starts after that field, and it's no place for beginners or sleds you care about with this coverage. That field is fine to putter around in if you like. -

Absolutely. There's a whole section of groomed paved roads off to one side of the park.
Just take the first "right" you come to as you head into the park on the sleds. That section is self-contained, and gets very little use.
And, there's the lake itself. It's safe, and the water is only 4' deep @ 300 feet off-shore. -

There are banks and enough people to get the sleds out of the truck. Have fun, ride right, ride safe.
