New summer toy

19 July 2011 - 08:20 AM

Picked up this 1989 Wellcraft Elipse 215XL from a buddy in NH at the end of May. I learned of the boat back in February on snowmobile trip and the rest is history.... Here's the deal....Boat was previously owned by an elderly couple who used it for three years before the husband died. It then say in climate contriolled storage from '93 -'06 at which point my buddy bought it for the cost of the overdue storage fee's ($500.00) complete with trailer! He pulled the engine and drive, tore them both down and replaced anything needing attention. He ran the boat a couple times a year before putting a new interior in it. He currently runs a 32' foot center console fishing boat so this little bow rider was rarely used. Anyway... here's a pic.... 8)

How far North???

I am thinking of taking a drive up on Wednesday from CT to do one last ride witha few buddies. How far North do I need to drive to get to descent conditions?

Lebonan > Boscawen this Saturday

31 January 2011 - 04:55 PM

I will be launching onto 2S out of Lebanon on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. I will have my wife and three kids in tow. A few years back I made the ride into Boscawen for lunch at Allen's Restaurant. (It was about 55 miles one way.)

I have a couple questions about my upcoming ride....

1. Does anyone know if Allen's is still there? Or have another suggestion of where to eat.

2. If it is still there I remember I had to take a small side trail off of 2S to get there, does anyone know what trail
that is?

3. How far is Mount Kearsage from 2S... I was thinking of taking them up to enjoy the view on the way to lunch (if it
is "on-the-way" that is.

4. Lastly, Where can I get gas at? and would I need to get gas before or after Mt Kearsage if Kearsage is "on-the-way".

We are riding an 07 600sdi and an 04 550 Suppersport fanner. Any help anyone can provide is appreciated. Thanks!

This could save your life...

15 December 2010 - 11:56 AM

I received this form a collegue of mine earlier today and felt that this needed to be passed around to every human being who has the keys to a vehicle and the capability of driving while under the influence with impaired judgment and the possibility of causing a life changing incident to happen to everyone he or she comes in contact with while in this condition.
This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that I've ever seen and damn well made. I hope that by passing this along to others, that it will make a difference and if just one life is saved, it will all be worth the effort to simply hit "send" and maybe save a life today or tomorrow or in the future.. I think that Australia should be complemented on having the guts to "tell it like it is" and get this campaign out to all of it's licensed drivers and to air it on TV...it is very moving and very life like so it has a very strong impact this holiday season. Please pass it along to all of your friends and maybe you can be responsible for saving some lives. Wouldn't that be a great Christmas Present.
