  1. Used Tucker Wanted

    03 October 2011 - 09:05 PM

Our club is looking to replace a track truck with a used Tucker. Our budget constraints will likely have us looking at a 90's steel track machine. Anyone selling or trading one in?

    Crossing my fingers, Thanks!

  4. MSA Against Reciprocity

    22 April 2011 - 01:23 PM

Many of us haven't been to Maine in a while due to the lack of reciprocity maybe we should let these folks know. I'm going to. BTW- I have gone a couple years but they are definately missing some of my money in their local economies as I would surely go more. It isn't all about just the reg fees is it?

Subject: MSA Alert - Important Legislation

To All on the Alert List:
On Monday April 25 the Legislature's Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Committee will be working the two snowmobile registration bills which were heard on April 13. Both of these bills would have a very negative effect on our funding and it is important that you contact the members of the committee and urge them to oppose both bills. Those bills are:

•LD-993, An Act to Allow a Snowmobile Registered in New Hampshire to be Operated in this State. This bill proposes to restore reciprocity for New Hampshire resident riders. Maine ended reciprocity with New Hampshire almost ten years ago, and in spite of threats that it would end visits from NH riders, it has worked out as we had predicted at the time. NH riders continue to visit, and their registration fees have become an important part of snowmobile funding. If this bill were to pass, there would be an annual loss of over $260,000 in snowmobile registration fees. The sponsor of this anti-snowmobile bill is Rep. Jeffrey Timberlake, who represents the towns of Turner, Minot and Hebron . At the hearing the bill was opposed by the MSA and the Maine Tourism Association.
•LD-293, An Act to Waive Snowmobile Registration Requirements for Canadians Riding on Maine Trails. This bill would allow Canadian snowmobilers to ride Maine 's trail system without having to register. The bills is sponsored by Rep. Bernard Ayotte of Caswell. Although the impact would not be as severe as LD-993, it would still have a negative impact on funding for the Snowmobile Program. The MSA testified in opposition to this bill.
Please contact the members of the IF&W Committee to tell them that the only way a user-pay system can work is if all the users pay, and ask them to oppose both LD-933 and LD-293. Committee contact info can be found at http://www.maine.gov.../jt_com/ifw.htm
You may also leave messages for IF&W Committee members and your own legislators by calling the toll-free message lines at Senate: 1-800-423-6900; or House 1-800-423-2900.
Thanks in advance for your help. We will keep you updated as these bills work through the legislative process.

Anyone selling/trading or looking to upgrade for next year from a large rubber track groomer to a newer one? We may be interested in your trade.

    Thanks!
