I know I saw tracks going across Lake Francis New Years eve weekend and thought who ever did it was nuts..
What about first lake?
Safe and "been on it", are two totally different things. Just don't let go of the flipper until you're on the other side.
Hopefully someone has measured the ice recently. This warm-up doesn't help any.

Of course I wouldn't want to go near any inlets out outlets for a while still.

Same goes for the northwest end of Ossipee Lake, still open water and plenty of gray ice only a couple of hundred feet out from shore....thank gosh none of the local throttle jockies have attempted the crossing over to the east side yet!
I am sure there are some safe bodies of water scattered about, but at least in central NH a lot of the usual spots are still very tricky, to say the least.
