SOS has a couple of fundraisers happening in the next couple of months. Jan 26 we are planning a poker run, starting at Ossipee Lake Marina sign up 10 - 12 and ending at our club house. 10- 2. The other function is our winter carnival at the airstrip. This will be Feb 16. We will have a 660 run, poker run, food and merchandise booth. We would also like to have Barton's Motorsports and Profile there to test drive some new stuff. We would like the other clubs to have booths with their club info and merchandise. This will be a ride in event but there are plenty of places to park. White lake, the Marina, the airtrip, McDonalds, etc. We also have some cook off challenges details are on our website www.sossc.com :clapping:

How much for the Poker Run? We're doing our winter carnival the same day, with Drags and Radar runs on the 16th.

We do $5 per hand. It was very hard to find a weekend that something isn't going on. We've changed the date several times. We always had Daytona weekend but Ossipee is doing the snocross, the following weekend is out because everyone will be at Coleman's. The 16th was the only date we could agree on. I hope it doesn't cancel us out. More details can be found on our website www.sossc.com On the poker run, we haven't posted the carnival yet.

We chose the 16th, because the Winni derby is the 9th, then I think another club near us is doing something the following weekend.

Attention SOSers we are planning a trail reroute this weekend. We'll need to cut stumps brush and trees. Let's take advantage of this terrible weather and finish up the system. We will also need to put up some caution signs. :clapping:

Sounds like fun, like it is every year. I will be there for the radar run, should have a sled for the 800 class and the 600 class. Runnin the Mach Z this year Tim?

Felt a northwest wind this mornin when I headed to work. Thats a winter wind and a return of cold to come...keep yer' heads up, season is still young.. :good:

Reminder of the poker run, happening this Saturday, why not try and make some money while you're riding? :clapping:

Hey Tim,

Went up to No. Conway for breakfast and on the way back jumped on "Carved in Bark". Such a great job with the grooming I had to hit Lead Mine & the Airport!

Fantastic job with the trails.....after lunch I probably will head back and make another loop! :good:

Please, join a Club where you regularly ride...and when you see a Groomer Jar hopefully give what you can as every penny counts!

My son and I went and rode from CK this morning. Second ones on the trail from the corridor and it was great as was the trails around the airport. Ran to the house to shovel then went by the marina, back towards the airstrip and up over the hill to Danforth and back for lunch at noon. After lunch we went down C19 to Pollys Crossing and back. Overall traisl were great on both systems 60 miles by 1:20 which isn't bad considering I was with my 8 year old and took 20-30 minutes at the house to clean up there. James managed to roll his sled over turning it around up in Danforth Bay, had to talk about judging the space needed for turning a little better, other than that and a little bump to my rear bumper at a stop he did good for only having 80 miles on the trails.

09/10 season 860 miles as of 2/19

08/09 season 1683 miles - 07/08 season 2504 miles -06/07 season 2662 miles

Went looking for you Jeff after seeing your truck in the CK lot around 10, 10:30....didn't think of heading south to Polly's though.

Clay groomed C-19 from Tamworth to Conway last night while I groomed the other end to the Greenery. I'll tell you what, Clay can groom with the best....he had his section as flat and smooth as a pool table this morning and it was some beat up when he started out last night!

Also ran into Bob out grooming for Mountain Meadow Riders up near the Cathedral Ledge cutoff. Bob has been doing triple duty in the cab of their Tucker...he looked a little tired this morning.

Between the MMR, SOS and OVSC trails there was fantastic riding to be had today....sorry I missed you!

thats why I made the change away from Ipone this winter. Went back to Doo semi at 26 gallon, hopefully the reformulation smells better. Never thought I'd make an oil change based on price but at $20 per gallon and burning 8-10 gallons this year in my oil pig it makes a difference.

I've always run the semi syn, as matter of fact I still have a case, I just couldn't take my eyes burning anymore! It was fine when I could get ipone from my distributor, but they're out of stock. :pardon:
