The Northwood Crank Pullers would like to thank Pats Peak and the Weare Winter Wanderers for inviting us to the N.H. Hill Climb Challenge to present our Vintage Mountain Oval Race today. We would especially like to congratulate not only our winners, but all of the participants who endured the challenging Inaugural Vintage Race on the Slopes of Pats Peak. Your participation is greatly appreciated and we have grown together because of it. We saw many new faces today both in the stands and on the track. We will soon be posting our race results on our website. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place drivers will each receive via mail, personalized plaques with their pictures on the track. As always Thank you for your support.

The N.H. Hill Climb Challenge committee and the Weare Winter Wanderers would like to thank all who came out on Saturday to support our event. Without the fans, the racers, our devoted volunteers and all of our many loyal and faithful sponsors this event couldn’t happen, thank you. The 2013 Hillclimb will prove to be the best yet and we owe that to everyone who showed up. Our racers need to know that for all the many years I’ve been involved in these types of events this was the best behaved group I have ever dealt with and that should not, and did not go unnoticed, for that we truly thank you. Everyone that came to watch had to deal with conditions from bitter cold to spring temps and did it with a smile and praise for everyone involved and we can’t be happier. The success of this event will be defined by a lot of things coming together; one of which was, by far, the most professionally run and organized vintage oval/terrain races many have ever seen. The Northwood Crank Pullers pulled off an amazing inaugural vintage event this year that had people jumping with excitement for their new interest in vintage racing. Thank you to the Crank Pullers for all the countless hours of commitment to this event. The Hill Drags were run by Northeast Grass Drags and as always showed they are the best at what they do and by all the positive feedback received was the right choice to head up this event; our hats off to them for making the drags such a big success. The Vintage show, what can anyone say but WOW! Your machines are a tribute to the sport we all love. It’s always fun seeing new faces and old friends who come to display their art. For obvious reasons this event could not be possible without the support from Pats Peak. What Jim,Chris and the entire staff and management of Pats Peak do for us is nothing short of amazing and we are grateful for the relationship we have with them. When they say on Sunday night that "the mountain is yours" they mean it. Last but not least, the final mention has to go to the Hill Climb Committee who year after year put more hours and blood and sweat into this event that anyone cares to talk about. These five guys are some of the most dedicated and professional folks I have ever had the pleasure to work with and could not be more proud to be associated with them. They say to be a good leader you need to surround yourself with good leaders and this committee is the epitome of that phrase. People ask why we do it and the easiest and probably the only sane answer that works is because we want to, it’s in our blood. The handshake and excitement on your faces in the end is all I need to come back for more!
With that said, plans are already under way for NH Hillclimb Challenge 2014. Mark your calendars now for April 5th 2014; you are not going to want to miss it!!

I was more interested in seeing how my brother did on my yamaha than I was on my colt. I really want to give the yamaha another shot next year. It was a test session for me and I found out that I am going to have to figure out how to make it turn and getting it to stay running for ten laps wouldn't be a bad idea either!! Haha

Now I understand. Have #21 give you some tips on how to make a stock Yamaha go.

Great pics and vids Nice Rumble... Thanks for sharing.

We had a great spot to watch the hill climb- about half way up the mountain on the left side.

Hey .... thanks for the Vest !
I was hesitant at first to wear it went I went to Pitts for a few days.
Thought I would feel cramped and not be able to move with it on.
But I wore it the second day ( and every day after ) and LOVE it !
Also kept me warmer at the same time.
It was like when I was dirt bike riding and never wore a chest protector
for 15 years then my Wife bought me one for Xmass one year.
I was like .... what did you buy me that for ? .... LOL ...
Well the first time I wore it, it came in great use and wore it
every time after that.
Wish I got to say hello to you :-(
I have spent alot of time on HCS this Winter because alot of
people donated to get my sled fixed after my nasty crash the
first ride of the Season. Two of the guys there even did all the
labor for FREE .... One named Brad (Noyzee) and the other
was John from SnoWorx. The Admins even pinned the post
thread in the NH forum there. Then after it was all done I also
came up with special HCS State decals with all the profits going
to Cancer research. Donated one check for $700 at the Pink Ride
that Hollis held and will be donating another $500 check to the place
that I went for my Cancer treatments last season (MGH at Emerson
Hospital in Concord, MA). Here is the link to the NH forum there.
