It started to snow late last night and it is still snowing. We have picked up about 5 inches so far and the temperature is 22 degrees F here at the First Connecticut Lake. I will up date later today with more snow totals.
The groomers have been grooming everyday. There are a ton of sledders up here right now. Trail conditions are very good for the most part. The heavily traveled trails around Back Lake and Young's Store get bumpy pretty quick with the soft snow conditions we have right now.
The forecast is calling for much colder temperatures, starting tonight with more snow for Tuesday. Possibly an additional 4 to 8 inches. Thursday night the low is predicted to be -14 degrees F.
With the colder overnight temperatures the trails will set up much harder and the riding should be very good for at least the rest of this week.
If you can get up here to ride, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
