every so often we get into the poison ivy,, well here is the best cure ever!

Last time I got it I tried a new cure with fantastic results,,, a HAIR DRIER every 12 hrs. The heat from the dryer drives the histamines back into your body to be processed and the itch is gone for 12 hrs. you can even "tickle" your rash after a treatment and not muster a itching episode. Honestly in over 50 years the best cure I have found,, google "hair dryer for poison ivy" and see for yourself!

Ok, I'll try anything once as I've suffered with poison ivy two or three times early this spring while cutting firewood... Seems odd using heat in this weather as I would expect more sweating... in the past I resorted to a swimming pool & washing the skin with bleach to dry it out...that was some of the best way back.

Newer chemical NU Tech ?? has a special wash that washes away the oil ( use after contact) and a gel tratment to dry it up. this is the best commercial stuff that I have found to date.

Found a preventor for poison ivy called 'IVY BLOCK" its like the garage glove stuff that you wipe on your hands & arms & it makes a synthetic layer that protects the body from oils & grease... Wash it off in the shower & your done & hopefully free of poision oak/ ivy etc..

Best preventative I've found is a great pre treat program on the farm using Round Up, 2-4 D, and Cross bow sprayed on the walls, edges of roads etc in June and in August. The mix knocks out just about any bad stuff including brush etc..
