Sorry I have not been posting trail conditions on the PRRSC web site. I will now be posting them here on SledNH.com.
On Saturday, December 22, 2007 all trails in Pittsburg had been groomed. I started out at about 10 am and arrived back home at 3 pm. That included a lot of stops to talk with riders, helping a couple with a disabled sled and a stop for lunch at Tracy's Mountain Side Grille.
The trails listed below had the following conditions:
Trail 139 from First Lake to Trail 140 Junction 158, Perry Stream - Good
Trail 140 Perry Stream to Trail 141 Deer Mountain Junction 1734 - Very Good
Trail 141 Deer Mountain to Corridor 5 Junction 455 - Good

Trails around Young's Store -Good
Trail 140 Perry Stream from Junction 341 to Junction 158 -Very Good
I covered about 86 miles and saw 98 sleds in about 5 hours. Definitely a great Saturday. The two trails I indicated as Excellent had just been groomed and I was the first sled over them. Actually they were beyond excellent, they were PRISTENE.
The forecast is for some sleet, freezing rain, rain and snow for Sunday, December 23, 2007. Then turning colder for the coming week.
I will try to post a weather conditions report Monday morning to let you know about Sundays weather and its effect on the trails.
