It is with much disappointment we must announce that we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel this year’s event in its entirety. Together, the NH Hill Climb Challenge Committee, the Weare Winter Wanderers and Pats Peak agree that due to the overall conditions of the snow on the mountain, that going forward with the event would result in extensive damage to the mountain. There simply is not enough snow on the mountain to hold the event. As a team, it was decided that unless we could go forward with 100% of the event, then we would have no event. We refuse to put on half of an event just to get it done and collect our money. We have a lot of respect for everyone involved, the racers, spectators, sponsors, exhibitors and manufacturers to do that to you. This has become a highly renowned event and we will not compromise its integrity. Believe me when we tell you that no one is more disappointed than this Committee - a years’ worth of planning and dedication to success only to have to pull the plug in the final hours is heartbreaking. Who could have predicted five straight days of 80 and above temperatures in March?! Thank you in advance for your understanding and support in this difficult decision affecting many, many people. All preregistration money will be returned a.s.a.p. We will see you all in 2013 when we come back bigger and better!!
