I knew he was sick, but I didn't know he had passed on. RIP Matt, and Godspeed.
He passed fairly quick after being diagnosed! There was a post back in June that he had passed (but I know not everyone see's every post) so on this day of his birthday I thought it would be nice to post a rememberance and to show his family that I/we have not forgotten him either! Now MATTtheCATZR800 is now MATTtheZRANGEL! Maybe he is waatching upon us and give us some snow for the remainder of the season!

Thanks all! I will tell his family just how much the slednh family is thinking about him.it is still very painful for us close to Matt to talk & write about.he still lives in our hearts & minds. missed that last ride with Streamer and guys, but i know how much fun he had that day.he really fell in love with sledding when we introduced him to it. I'm very grateful for that.I pm'd him after he died knowing he would like knowing that we're still thinking about him.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

RIP Matt, I just said a little Prayer for his family, I never met him but think of him fairly often especially when I'm tinkering with the ZR 800. He's even got me thinking about long tracking it.

I never met the man either. I do remember we talked about a " Matt the Cat" ride. I'm still up for it. Late Feb when we DO have more snow would be great. Also if tee shirts are made, i take a xlarge. 1st annual Matt the Cat ride. I like that. Donations for shirt can go to family, club where he like to ride, a family in need, or to a good charity. You that knew him well should choose.

Great idea! I do remember that being brought up over the summer! Not sure if I will be able to ride (depending on the date) but I would difinately buy a T-shirt (sweat shirt) or 2 and do what I can to help with stuff!

Bevan ... Thankful of the Topic you started in remembrance for Matt. Alot of memories came to mind, of when I spoke with him over the phone that 1st year he fell in deep over sledding.. ( one Cat guy to another ).
Dave, Thanks for the re-post of the Pic's...You of all I'm sure have fond memories of that weekend. Ohhh he was so siked up to go too the LC after our phone conversations. Was worried alittle about going into the deep stuff with a tank..LOL I assured him it'd be fine as You were a great host..with Knowledge. Actually came back saying the tank did pretty good considering "Stuck or not"... But he did admit the Doo was a pretty fair ride..LOL well to me anyway's..
Matt.. Happy B-Day, may you be watching over your Family in keeping them safe.

I ran into his brother Jeff @ the car show yesterday and told him about this thread. he was very pleased and took down the site info so as to pass it on to the rest of his family.with the snow being what it is this year (so far)
i think maybe in a couple weeks we might be able to do a little something for him & Meegan & 3 boys! I will check with Grev about a run to the flagpole?? we had talked about it after his nephew Prvt Kyle J. Coutu a Marine was killed in Afghanistan.
I would also just like thank everyone that participates on this site! it is by far the best i have been involved with.even though i don't know most of you personally, it certainly feels like family!
Thanks again! I will start a new thread when some firmer plans are in place!
