on my afternoon ride last Saturday, we left Youngs, took a direct shot up to 142, rode across the "unmaintained" trail and back up 142 and back and it was 57 miles. A nice second ride after the first 110 miles. I would guess that it is longer than 15 miles since the unmaintained trail is 9 miles and starts in about the middle of 142.

It is a long stretch, but it's a great trail. We rode it Monday. I was going to do it again this morning, but the freezing rain was making visibility too bad.

The PRR advertise it on the sign posts as being a 25 mile loop....We rode it Sunday January 29 starting at the north end. It was very enjoyable but the trail did get a little thin in the southern tier after dropping in elevation. Enjoy!

I rode it yesterday afternoon for the second time, and found it a great addition to the Ridge Runners system. I have known it was in the works for a few years and was being slowed down by money for the bridge just above Terro Pond. It is nice to have a 25 mile loop with new views, varied terrain, and challenging, sneaky corners to keep you on your toes. It is also good in as much as most people don't know it's there and it is seeing very little traffic.

I rode this trail again this afternoon. From Depot Camp on Indian Stream Rd., to the junction of Trail 146 was just 20 miles by my odometer.

Be patient, it is in the works. Logging operations need to be concluded on Perry Stream Road first. Then there needs to be enough money to construct the trail. Plus probably a few hundred other things to make it happen.

Some time when we have better conditions you really should come up and ride our trails Chris. I think you would really enjoy some of the fantastic views here in the lakes region!
John,
You would have to set Chris up with a loaner sled. He doesn't have to trailer sleds back and forth like most of us Flatlanders do. Up here in Pittsburg he has Crazy Al's Sled Service to handle all his machine prep, service, and storage needs. He's like a F1 driver - just show up, strap on a helmet, and turn the key.

John, thumper's right I am trailerless which is good and bad, i have many times thought about riding down near you. i am sure I would enjoy it and hanging with you fellas, the lack of a trailer has kept me in Pittsburg,
Crazy Al's has 1 Star service, but his prices are reasonable ( ie free) and having your mommy make your bed and feed you is a bonus as well..even when your 45 yrs old

All kidding aside, my dad is pretty great, he does alot to make us all happy, a thankless job for sure.

I'm sure I can come up with something for you to ride if and when the stars align and we can get good conditions and you have the time to make the trip to our area :good:

Chris

If you ever need a trailer, I have about four of them laying around doing very little. You are welcome to use any of them when your up here. Or, if you are ever inclined to ride OVSC (which is nice riding) I would be glad to drag your ass down there and back. I haven't ridden down there in a while and I'm do........
