I am opening up this topic again because it is more into the season. I am setting up a tour business in central NH...not sled rentals...just guided trips. (Rentals may become available from and outside source, lodging is also to become available)). I am hoping that I might get some more feedback concerning liability waivers etc. Some of you on here have and do offer this service and I was wondering what you do for liability coverage. If you have a waiver where did you get it and is it best for a lawyer to draft something. I have liability insurance with my regular business so this is just going to be an add-on.

You can PM me or post for "all to see". Use your discretion.

Thanx Bruce

I don't have any real expertise so take this for what it's worth, But I'd ask my insurance agent they may be able to put you on to some suggested forms, at any rate you want to make sure your covered. They are the ones that are going to defend you (hire the lawyers) that is unless they decide it's not a covered activity. A liability waiver is a deterrent to a lawsuit but they are not foolproof and even if it prevents a judgement if your insurance determines it's not a covered activity then you out the legals to get it dismissed.

Thank you for the input. I am hoping that someone may have a guideline that they used so the attorney has something to work with. Probably similar to the ski liability forms...I don't ski but I know the ski industry uses them. I know hunting and fishing guides...some have liability forms... some don't for some reason.
