Is the thing actually running, or is something just spinning it? What does it use for ignition?

I didn't see spark plugs or an ignition system, so if it really is running, it is a diesel (compression fire).

Definitely cool but, wow some people have a lot of extra time on their hands. I don’t think it’s running my guess is that its pneumatic, air is being pushed through that intake…..I think I may have too much time on my hands…..

Yes it is powered by compressed air. Other websites have text on the making/ operation.

So the groove in the pistons was probably for an O-Ring and not a typical piston ring.

Still cool :good:

This one might not be as small, but would make a really cool V8 string trimmer.

I showed the V12 to my 2 engineers and you would of thought they were kids at the candy counter in Littleton. They thought that was so cool. PSSSSSHH engineers, who knows what goes on in those minds of thiers.

Look closer during assembly, the pistons do have a ring installed.....Did any one notice that
the Camshaft runs 1 to 1 with the Crankshaft instead of 2 to 1 like normal 4 strokes, yes runs on
air pressure.....

Here's a great model of a Napier Deltic 18 cylinder, 36 piston, 3 crankshaft, 2 cycle Diesel,
used in Locomotives and Britain's Nasty Class (PT Type) Boats.....This model engine is spark fired.....
