The annual OVSC Youth Safety Class is fast approaching, and a few slots remain open.

This year we will once again be having class from 9 am until approximately 4 pm , December 3rd (a Saturday) at the Canoe King located at 1799 White Mountain Highway (Route 16) in Tamworth. Thanks to the generosity of the Club and our gracious hosts John & Mitch @ the Canoe King, we will be providing all attendees with a free pizza buffet catered by the great folks @ Yankee smokehouse!

For reservations or course details please call Chief Instructor Skip Christenbury at 603-953-4325.

Hi Neal

At the same time I went to schedule Milton my business was awarded a large contract in Vermont that takes me there every weekend until mid or late December. I was able to get Thanksgiving weekend off and the weekend of the OVSC class as that was already scheduled.

I am looking at a class in Milton later in the season. According to F & G and our rep with them on the NHSA Board there has been a demand for classes late season when fewer are on the schedule. This might be a good fit for the Milton class.

Fortunately I got a heads up on the job prior to scheduling, so I didn'y have to cancel a previously scheduled class. In the meantime I still have slots open for the OVSC class if you have a student in mind, but let me know soon as the class will fill quickly the closer we get to the scheduled date!

Thanks....

I plugged your OVSC class on our web site if/when we fill up. The two classes are on the same date/time.

Skip ... have you found a project for your classes field work / Volunteering requirement ?

OVSC will have a small work party that day staining the rest of the groomer garage....

Could you donate us that 1 hour volunteer requirement of your class to help us ?

Possibly a 1 hour working lunch with pizza and a paint brush ?

Hi Carl....

I give you points for being creative...:good:

Obviously no, I wouldn't consider asking 12 to 15 year olds to go outside and paint the groomer garage as part of the class. I do encourage parents and guardians to join the club if they ride in the area, make a donation or hit the groomer jar conveniently located adjacent to the check in table. But feel free to ask if any of the parents in attendance would like to come out and join you.

With all the information we need to get out and with a very sizeable class now registered the students will need every moment in attendance to garner as much as they can from the course being given...:)

The OVSC class for December 3rd is full!

Can't wait to see several dozen new smiling faces and the chance to break in a new instructor coming up from the EVSC...and of course the monthly OVSC meeting follows that evening with a smoking dinner being put on by the Club...:good:
