Left Wakefield NH at 5 am, ah only four hours of sleep, the things I do to snowmbobile.... We were on the trails by 815. Took 134 to 18A. 18A was AWESOME until you started to drop elevation and the snow went away... So we turned around and did some off trail riding. Toasted a belt in the woods, changed it real quick and off again! Back to 134. Overall 134 was decent, pretty muddy where the wash out was earlier this season at the 18A junction. Onto 135, and North we went. Got back onto 134N and got onto PRR trails at the intersection of 5. From there we took 20 east, needed to ditch bang that for about 1.5 miles but still easily do-able. Continued onto I believe 136 or 137 (dont have my map on me)? Took that to 112/143 (112 was getting pretty muddy but still easily do able). Did some off trail here and there again, went up to stub pond. From there we continued north up 143 to Hedgehog nuble. Very warm up there! Left that and went to 20 West all the way to 5. 20 was WAY better then I thought it would be! It was thin but still almost 100% covered! Worst section was the last 1/4 mi before getting to the junction of 112. Made it from the juntion of 20/5 back to the truck in 30 minutes! Trails were good, weather was great! Rode in T-shirts! We were loaded and heading back home by 1245! Both of us had to be to work at 4:00. Long day that was worth it! Now midnight needs to get here so I can go home and SLEEP! Weather was mostly sunny and in the low 60s!!!!!
Trails werent even really that slushy. Never saw another sled or any sled tracks! Wish we had more time to go further north! Maybe another ride next wednesday or thursday. That will have to be an East Inlet trip I believe! Wont be able to get from SDR to PRR much longer... Moose were every where also! I believe I ran over more moose poop then mud. It was everywhere, you couldnt even avoid it! Man I wish I was there still.............
