Whaleback Snowmobile Hill Climb

MARCH 27TH 2011

Rules and Regulations:
* GATE FEE: $5.00 Kids under 10 Free
* RACE ENTRY: $25/sled in classes at, and above engine size (gate fee not incl)
75% PAYBACK IN 18 CLASSES
This rule book is not intended to be all inclusive. Other judgments may be made by event organizers and judges as circumstances warrant. Judges decisions are final.
Official Rules and Regulations:
Violation of these rules will result in IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.
ISR Safety Rules apply including the following:
1. NO lifting rear end to clean out sled anywhere unless on a stand with shield.
2. NO riding over 5 mph in parking lots or in staging area...please watch for spectators.
3. Shut sleds OFF until starter gives o.k.
4. NO trial runs.
5. NO sleds anywhere on ski slopes. Sleds allowed on designated warm-up area only.
6. Full-face helmet, over-ankle boots, tether switch required.
Anyone on a moving sled must have helmet on.
7. Racer number(s) must be on driver’s RIGHT windshield.
8. Mandatory tear downs will be required by protest and Tech Director’s discretion.
9. Any attempt to defraud race officials/other competitors by entering the wrong class
will result in disqualification of that event and all other registered events without refund.
10. Anyone in or near starting area, and staging areas must wear safety goggles,
helmet, and safety clothing.
11. Jump starts will be penalized at Tech Director’s discretion.
12. Driver ONLY allowed in staging area.
13. No cleanouts allowed in staging area or on line! Pull up to the line ready to start!
14. Alcohol/drug consumption by a racer or spectator in/around pit area will result in
immediate disqualification and removal from premises.

Registration:
1. Racers may register sleds in as many classes as they would like as long as the sled falls below the engine class specified.

2. For example: a racer on a 600cc sled may race in the classifications for sled up to 699cc and the classification for sled up to 800cc but not in the classification for sleds up to 500cc

3. Any non-stock sled must run in the Improved or Mod class only. Judges will make the final decision should there be questions about whether a sled races in the stock or Imp or Mod class

4. All racers must do the following before racing
Read and understand all event rules and regulations
Complete the registration form for each race they intend on competing in
Complete and sign the liability release form
Pay all required racers registration fees.

RACE FORMAT:

The format for the race will be uphill drag race 500-650 feet. Two racers will be on course at a time
RACE PROCEDURES
EACH CLASS WILL RUN THERE 1ST ROUND.
STARTING WITH JUNIORS 1ST PLACE RACER IN EACH HEAT WILL ADVANCE TO 2ND ROUND AND SO ON

AFTER ALL ROUNDS IN EACH CLASS, THE 4 FINALISTS WILL BE DETERMINED
TWO HEATS WILL RACE TO SEE 1ST OR 2ND
BOTH 1ST PLACE RACERS WILL RACE
BOTH 2ND PLACE RACERS WILL RACE
TO DETERMIN 1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH

POINTS

1ST ROUND POINTS 1ST (6 POINTS) 2ND (3 POINTS)
2ND ROUND POINTS 1ST (12 POINTS) 2ND (6 POINTS)
3RD ROUND POINTS 1ST (18 POINTS) 2ND (9 POINTS)


FINAL POINTS TOP 4

1ST PLACE 100 POINTS
2ND PLACE 75 POINTS
3RD PLACE 50 POINTS
4TH PLACE 25 POINTS

All racers must stay in the defined pit area, staging area or on course. Access to other parts of the ski area is
Forbidden. These rules will be strictly enforced and those violating these rules will forfeit the race and be asked

Speed limit in the pits and staging area is limited to 10mph

When returning from the top of the course to the staging areas all sleds must stay on the defined return trail speed is limited to 25 mph on this trail. Failure to comply will result in forfeiting the race and the racer will be asked to leave the premises (no refund will be given).

All trophy and cash prizes will be distributed at the AWARDS banquet. NO TROPHIES or MONEY will be handed out BEFORE the AWARDS banquet without prior approval by the North East Hill Climb Series. NO trophies will be sent to a driver; however a Trophy can be given to another person for the driver providing the driver makes this known to the North East Hill climb Series BEFORE the competition begins

Is this a 2 -day event? poster say's 26th, while the Rules have a 27th Date???
