I just got back from about 5 hours on Trail Patrol. The higher elevations have received another 6 inches of new snow since yesterday. Here at the First Connecticut Lake we have picked up about another 3 inches and at the moment, 3:15 PM, it is snowing hard. The current temperature is +15.3 degrees F. The forecast is calling for a low of -5 degrees F tonight. The groomers are going out and with that temperature the trails will be great tomorrow.
Today the trails had a good solid base with quite a bit of loose snow on top. The riding conditions are very good as long as you do not try to go too fast. The sled can really slide out in the turns with all the new snow. It is a lot of fun as long as you don't "kiss" a tree or a rock!
There are many riders from VT taking advantage of the NH/VT reciprocal three day weekend. I talked with many of them and they all indicated they were having a great time on the NH trails.

I am going to try and get over to VT tomorrow or Sunday and check out the VT trails.
