So I wrapped up my Pittsburg trip with a great pre-checkout ride this morning. OVR was busy with other buisness, so I went out solo. I left at about 7:30 this morning. For the first 50 miles, not only did I not see another sled, I did not see another Track !!! (except some moose tracks) It was 50 miles of "First Tracks through about 6 inches of fresh powder on top of untouched groomed trail.

I took 139 to 5 to 20 to 136 to 112 to 137 to 112 to 143 to 20 to 144 to 5 to 141 to 139 back to the cabin. I did not see a sled track till I got to trail 20 coming off of trail 143. When I stayed straight on 144 it was untouched powder again until I got to 5 going towards East Inlet. (OVR - I must have just missed you and Don at East Inlet Rd. - Saw his footprints at about 9:30) I saw a few sleds going down Perry Stream Rd., but I also saw a Momma moose and her young one just north of the camp with the "Meese Motel" sign on it. What a great ride to cap off an excellent first Pittsburg trip for this season.
After checking out, we stopped off at Happy Corner for a BIG late breakfast/early lunch. Mmmmmmmmmm !!!
It was all down hill from there. Merging onto Rt 93 by Cannon Mtn. got the truck all crossed up on some ice on the on-ramp. Truck went side to side about 3 times.

Trailer kept whipping back and forth a few more times

but we drove through it. Then upon arriving home we were greated with about 4 inches of slushy slop in the driveway, which took about 2 hrs of Snowblower Hell to clean up.
But the negatives were far outweighed by the positive. 409 miles of excellent trails. A great ride with OVR on Monday am. A good short ride with Wigga on Sunday. 2 good rides with the wife (Phazer Girl). 1 nice moose shed found on Tuesday am. A nice moose sighting this morning. And no Ya-hoos or mechanical issues.
