Is this true? Did they get more snow south or something? Glad to see some opening up at least.

It's not always about the snow. Could be safety issues such as trees needing to be cleared, signing, running water, you name it.

I'm sure Kieth will update all of us, in his post last week before the rain he stated the 16th or 17th for a possible opening of some trails.

Pretty normal for SDR to open before Pittsburg. I know most don't think of SDR as getting more snow but it generally is 10-20 inches a year ahead. Also no in town trails in the SDR system way less traffic and less land owners makes for SLIGHTLY fewer logistics to open the system.

I guess, but aren't more of the trails in Diamond narrower and through the thicker woods more than PRR? Meaning most of PRR trails are logging roads that are open and heavily travelled all summer?
What ever the reasons - it will all be good soon enough. I know I can't make it up until after xmas so hopefully all are kicking by then.
