Im new to Slednh.com and it seems like a great site with a lot of local knowledge and experience. I am fairly new to the sport and have pretty much been going to the same spots all the time (twin mt). Twin seems to be a very common place to go and is always packed and beat up real quick, just wondering if its worth the extra miles to go up to gorham or berlin? not too familiar with the area and have no idea if there is any parking.
thanks

Come East to Ossipee/Tamworth. We have lots of parking, lots of ride-in gas and food, and some really nice trails.
Parking @ White Lake State Park, or the Canoe King. Maps and good directions @ the Canoe King as well.
These are not trails like up north, these trails are tighter, and have a lot of hills and corners...but also a lot of views and senic stops.
Clubs are Ossipee valley SC, Scrub Oak Scrambles SC, Seven Lakes SC, Sandwich Sidehillers SC, Interstate Trailblazers SC, Wolfeboro SC, Moultonboro SC, and (I think) White Mt. SC.
Between all of them, you'll be 2 weeks riding all the trails.
White Lake State Park.
Welcome to SledNH!

Actually I do know where white lake state park is! when I was a kid I would go up skiing with my family and stop in at the dunkin donuts and always see a ton of sled trailers pulling in there. thats about half the drive for me as well

Trails are busy in Berlin, also on weekends! Think about weekday rides! Anywhere north of twin is flooded on the weekends!

Quick note, I have heard several times that Pittsburg is way to packed on the weekends. This will be my fifth year and always ride Fridays-Sunday. We do around 2000 miles each season. I wouldn't say it's like Boston rush hour or anything even close. Once your a few miles away from Youngs Store your clear sailing. Very rarely do we have to slow up for traffic. Besides it kind of nice watching the sleds go by when you take a break

1st off..I'm a Southern NH Guy.., not going to "Toot" for our trail system, as I know how good it is for the amount of sled traffic it get's (especially weekends).
But Many like to ride where they won't see 4-10 sleds all day .. (Hard to picture actually).. I have stayed in Coleman Park area on several VERY Busy weekends ( sno-deo ) ..and it really isn't Bad at all once out of the congestion...20-30 sled's in outter route's.
The one thing you alway's have to be aware of in Pittsburg area riding is your fuel consumption... Know where the Fuel & food is... wether it be in Coleman Park at Swiftdiamond rider's club house or the Young Store Pittsburg area...The scenery is "unsureal"...all the way to the Canadian Border on either side of Lake Francias'...

I'm going to try this area next. We had started heading to Littleton and the Bethlehem area last Thursday. Most sled traffic was heading towards Twin.
Baker River is a good spot. Twin and Baker had good snow last year. I have had some good rides out of there.
Another good area is in the Town Line Trail Dusters. You can ride to Baker River or towards Mt. K from there. The trails are can be pretty wide in areas. Reminds me of Burg.
