As some of you are becoming aware there is a proposal before the State to allow a reciprocity weekend for registered snowmobilers between the states of NH and VT.
This proposal would allow registered sled to cross into either State during the third weekend in January, 2011.
An Administrative Rule change must be put into place for this one time event, which requires a public hearing and a final date for written testimony.
The public hearing is at NHF&G Headquarters in Concord at 6:30 PM on September 13th. Written comments will be accepted by Director Normandeau until September 24th.
If you support this event it wouldn't hurt to stop by the public hearing or drop a note to the Director!
Note: All public hearings listed below begin at 6:30 p.m. at the N.H. Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H., unless otherwise noted below.
If you write, fax or email the proposed rule change you need to reference is: Section Fis 1509.01 Snowmobile Reciprocity
Comments may be mailed, by the deadline stated, to: N.H. Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03301; faxed to 603-271-1438; or emailed to: comments@wildlife.nh.gov (please be specific about the rule topic in the subject line of your email).
When rules are complete and have been adopted, they can be found online at www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rules/state_agencies/fis.html.

Please, join a Club where you regularly ride...and when you see a Groomer Jar hopefully give what you can as every penny counts!

SOunds like a good idea. I wish they would bring it back for Maine as well.

As somebody who has ridden in both states in the past, I truly wish they would offer a registration that would allow reciprocity all season long. Right now it is too cost prohibitive to be registered in both states, especially for an out of state registration.
