If I can find a sled to ride, I'm in. I'll gladly serve as tour guide if needed.
I suppose this is a good reason to throw some money at the fighter..

No doubt that was a heck of a ride! I would definetly be in on that! Iggy, you ridin' again this year?

YUP. I bought an 07 Polaris 600 IQ and a 2004 600 Touring to ride with my girls or "that special person" who wants to try riding...If the weather holds, I'm going for my record miles this year. I'm excited!

That sounds like a good idea, but I think we should put together an official ride in the area Matt loved to ride in.

Talking about a 4 on 4 off or maybe even a 5 on 5 off) and what our local Club schedule of events is going to be!!! We usually have our Poker Run the third Saturday of February!!!

Still fleshing out the ride.

Maybe split it in the middle for those who want to ride the am, pm or whole day.

There will be peeps of all riding abilities, so I will keep that in mind so no one gets left behind or may feel intimidated and not want to come along.

There will be ample time to stretch your legs, get a bite to eat and take a few pictures!

If the weather cooperates there are endless riding possibilities in store for that time of year!

Let's get some more folks signed up.... :good:

Please, join a Club where you regularly ride...and when you see a Groomer Jar hopefully give what you can as every penny counts!

My son and I usually ride the other side of the lake and northwest of it but we've been wanting to get over to those trails and add to our riding area. He never posts but he's signed up on slednh as Anchico. We're definately all day riders. If you don't get in 200 miles, it isn't a ride. :-)

We like to ride all day also. A day ride for us is from Groveton. over the Notch to the border and back. Usually 150 so miles.

150 miles would be a good goal for a large group riding all day.

I am looking at splitting the ride, so some could ride the morning, others the afternoon and those that like all day.

Possibly make arrangements for those that want to check out OT's off trail site to be able to depart with him somewhere along the ride.

Still open to suggestions, we have a lot of time ahead for planning.

But I want to put together an event that will attract as many folks as possible! :good:

Also, like the idea of tailgating and maybe having Fred (WGS) man the grill(s) with volunteers. Perhaps a return to CK at noon time for that event....but not to worry, all snackbars in range will be fair targets as well.... :good:

Keep in mind not all riders have the stamina to do 200 miles. I think it should be kept t oa reasonable distance.

I would like to go all day and also check out the non groomed deeper stuff as well. I don't like sitting around for a long lunch while the riding is good.I haven't riden the area either. Put down Area 51 and GoJoe my brother if he's on this sight.
Enjoy it while you can, now.

February ??? why set a date & wait for Snow ?

Schedule a ride when conditions are great for a ride & maybe a second or mid week ride where CK can go & guide...

Good points Carl.

But with winters as short as they are and an event or events scheduled almost every weekend, in order to pull off something like this I think you have to plan well in advance. And a mid week ride will, unfortunately, leave a lot of people out.

We always have Skully's popular "looking for riders" thread here on this site for those looking to pick up rides throughout the season.... :good:

If conditions are fantastic, early and persistent this year I am sure we are all open to other rides possibly in other parts of the State.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have a good winter this season and have the possibility of getting a group ride in down in both Rockingham and Strafford counties! :)
