:drinks: Many thanks to the person(s) or club(s) and with certainty U.S. Veterans who are/is responsible for displaying the U.S. flag on Diamod Peak, Pittsburg NH. In past years the flag was flown atop of Diamond Peak. In recent ventures to the peak in the 2010 season prior to Feb 18, 2010 I personally was saddened to see the flag was no longer displayed adjacent to the memorial to a young man that expired in an unfortunate snowmobile accident on Back Lake some years back. On our most recent trip to Diamond Peak we observed a new flag displayed on a new post with a new line. Many thanks to those responsible. We are proud of your actions and hope the flag will fly for many years again, without having to be replaced anytime soon with the inclement weather the flag will face in years to come.

RIP the young man that the memorial was posted on behalf of. I apologize I do not recall his family name.

God bless the U.S.A. and its veterans.

Ride safe.
Paddy O

Actually it is Diamond Ridge, not Diamond Peak; which is a different place down in Dixville Notch.

I believe you can thank Steve Kiley, owner of Powder Horn Lodge and one of the PRRSC groomer drivers, for returning the United States Flag to Diamond Ridge. :good:

I was up on Diamond Ridge this past Sunday and wondered how they hung the new flag. Looks like the old tree that held the old flag snapped in half.

What a beautiful site amongst all the white snow to see a nice bright American flag waving in the breeze. Makes me proud everytime I see it.

Nice work!!!

Diamond Ridge is one of our all time favorite spots on this planet! Absolutely spectacular.

Chris, you need to get a new map. On the 2010 PRRSC trail map it is clearly labeled as Diamond Ridge, Scenic Vista! :good:

That's both an accomplishment and an embarrassment at the same time. :good:

I'm sure a fair amount has changed.

Now come on! I would have thought that two outdoors men like you guys could have figured that one out!

You are there during the colder months and the hedgehogs are hibernating and the deer are down in the deer yards in the lower elevations.
