Hi folks,

The wife and I would like to get in an early season ride in the Ossipee area Sunday the 3rd.

Did you guys get much snow today up there? Are the conditions more favorable than the last posting on OVSC web site trail conditions? Looks like the last trail update was earlier today.

Thanks for any info,
Jim

If the snow comes like they say overnight, then the riding should be quite good. There's a few rough patches getting out to the James pond Loop intersection, but from there out conditions are better. Both groomers are out there as we speak. Come on out.

OK Oldtimer, you talked me into it. Tomorrow morning I will head up to Canoe King and log some mileage.
I hope the groomer guys post a trail report tonight when they are done. Either way I will be coming though.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

I won't be updating the website until tomorrow, but I just called ckf out in the groomer. He is reporting that the new snow is helping a lot and conditions are very good for early season. Both groomers are out tonight covering as much of the system as possible.

He did advise that there are still the usual waterbars and low spots that need more snow & cold, and the wind and snow tonight at times reduce visibilty to zero.

He said that you should be able to get some decent riding in tomorrow, weather permitting, but to use caution reserved for early season.

Please, join a Club where you regularly ride...and when you see a Groomer Jar hopefully give what you can as every penny counts!

Thanks for the input Skip.
I will check the weather first thing in the morning. If is not blizzard like conditions I will be on the road at dark:30 AM as is my usual m.o.
I will be cautious of the early season conditions, don't want to bust up the sleds you know.

Jim
