Just got back from doing a little riding up there.

Rte 25 is quite bumpy, and the powerlines before the Clubhouse are windswept with snow above my waist, we got stuck 3 times before we turned around. Baker River was out grooming as the Tucker wasn't at the clubhouse. But we did not go past the clubhouse.

As far as parking, there are several options.

1) Common Man in Plymouth and take the old railbed out to Baker River

2) Baker River Clubhouse

3) Rte 25 rest area

4) Continue past the club house and take a left at the fork, continue straight, don't make any turns and you come to a dead end about 4 miles up the hill and there is a little 3-4 truck parking area and you can access all the higher elev from there, but it may not be plowed.

I believe you can get a map at the clubhouse which is only open on the weekends or at Ryzacks gas station on Rte 25.

302 miles for winter 09-10

I you get a map you can find a place to park up in the elevation. There are some small parking spots around but half the fun in finding them! You can get a Lymme Pinnacle map at the Lyme store or mail the club some $'s for one. They all tie in together...but be sure to have fun

Not enough snow on the rail bed yet, and I don't think it's technically open yet either.

Relative's..minutes from clubhouse ( throw a rock ) ... told my parents..12"-18" in Wentworth area...Very wind swept drifting.

FFTWENTYTHREE ... just so you are aware, when snow is that much..road's get narrow up in there to be able to turn around. Clubhouse parking would have the most space. ( like he said..if not plowed you'll be driving around looking ) You have riden worse to get to High elevations ... But If you want to get over to Lincoln ...you can just drive up to "Warren" and head over on the New Trail up through ( near Rte 118 road )

Both parking lots are plowed after each storm-the main one at the clubhouse is always first, then the overflow lot just before it on the right is next-at most it is only one day after the storm that we open that one up if we can't do it right away. There is a large sign at the road in front of it with our logo on it, and trail parking signs. The clubhouse is open on friday & saturday generally from 8-3, and sunday usually from 9-3. Extended hours are determined by the crowd that day. Maps can be obtained there as well as memberships. The clubhouse phone is 603-786-2388 with a recorded message updated every few days as conditions change on the trails. Our website is www.mybrvsc.org and news & conditions are listed there as well and you can contact us through it. Also listed are the other locations where you will find our trail maps. Hope this is helpful to you.

Curious to hear how that ride went. Planning on parking at the RV place tomorrow (Thursday) and riding north from there. No maps at Ryezacks yet, by the way. Saw a few trailers unloading there this AM and the snow looked pretty good.

How were those trails Norm? Can't do much down that way without going on the lakes, which for me it is too early in the season.

The main corridor trails 5 & 8 around Baker River were really good today. The spur trails (we headed off towards Lyme and the skiway and came back on I think 152 by the dam) were good except for waterbars. There were some branches down on and around the trails, but no big deal. Overall, great early season riding.

I just picked up a Baker River club map at the NHSA office in Tilton. I didn`t notice any of the high elevation parking areas on this map. Maybe because it was freeee.
