I have a great Log Cabin located right on Trail #5 in Colebrook NH for rent to resposible non-smoking adults. This is NOT a rental unit, it is my second home so I only rent it enough to help with the expenses. Here is a link to all the information.Visit My Website[attachment=747:Colebroo...._25_015.jpg]

Very Nice place you have there. My parents had a second home close by in Kidderville. Excellent location, can usually ride from there even when snow is unrideable into Colebrook.
I am just north of Kidderville ( Blakely Farm Rd. ) as you go up trail 5. Last winter I rode 3500 mi. and only had to trailer twice. Gas right at Diamond Peak Store or seven miles by sled at the Swift Diamond club house.

attachment=909:Snow_ai_...__07_007.jpg][attachment=908:Snow_ai_...__07_009.jpg]I just got back from the LC in Colebrook -- let me tell you it was winter up there Thursday night, all day Friday and into Sat. morning. We got a solid 10" on the level and in some wind blown areas, two feet!!. To bad the ground was not frozen. Five miles up the road at CSP there was more and the pond was covered with a mix of ice and snow. When we left Sat. morning it was 21 degrees. Let's hope this is a good omen for a great season.

I was up to the log cabin this week to do the last coat of polyurathane and took a ride up to CSP. While there I took a picture of an early bird rider. I would have joined him, but my Rev XP is in LIMBO some place in Canada. It won't be long now -- think snow[attachment=1007:Pics_col...1_07_005.jpg]

Looks like the weather people are hyping a big storm for this weekend. If it happens we will see the best start to a sled season than we have had in many, many years. Even better my new XP is in and I can pick it up early next week. I still have open dates in Jan. including Martin L. King weekend. Feb. has open dates including SnoDeo weekend. Everyone have a great season and be careful.

I have renters for Feb. 7,8,9 and then wide open, even for Snodeo Feb. 29 - March 1 and all dates after that. So far this year I have 1333 miles on 90% great trails both north and south of the LC. We only had to trailer once and that was for 5 miles just up the road to SDR parking lot. Have fun and stay right. Here is a picture of us off trail at 2750 feet in Gadwa Notch

I now have 2948 miles on the Rev XP -- what a great winter. We did a quick 125 miles Friday AM and found all the SDR, USA and PRR trail systems in great shape. We rode many miles through the woods in DEEP snow, some of the moose we saw were in hip deep! The weather people are predicting 12+ inches fro Tuesday into Weds. Snodeo will have all the snow they need. The LC is rented for Feb. 29 to March 2 for the Snodeo -- all dates ar open after then. With the predicted snow piled on top of the 2 to 4 feet of snow already on the trails, it is easy to see that we will be riding well into April. My last ride last year was April 20 -- looks good the get past that date this year. If you want to stay in the lap of luxury while you ride the best trails in New England, give me a call, an email or a PM. [attachment=1662:Riding_D...7_07_041.jpg]

Here we are on Sept. 30 and we already have had several hard frosts at the LC. The first snow flakes of the sled season may fall Friday night up in Pittsburg. It won't be long before we are all prepping our sleds for four or more months of sledding in the great north woods. Good news for this sled season - NO RENTAL RATE INCREASE !!. For anyone planning to attend the NHSA ride in at the Balsams on Feb. 6, 7 and 8, you may want to consider renting my place. You can sled directly from the LC on great trails right to the Balsams - 6 miles. That same weekend the Colebrook Skibees are hosting the Vintage Sleds races and again direct access to great trails and a 8 mile ride right to the races. Don't forget the Snodeo at Coleman State Park, once again direct access to great trails leading there and only 7 miles by sled. Visit My Website Let's all hope for a season with plenty of snow and cold weather and lower gas prices -- save on gas and the cost of eating out by getting a group together and come to the LC for a few days and share the cost. BTW, I did 4505 miles last year with all rides starting right at my place, we never had to trailer to find snow. If you do have to trailer, it is only 6 miles by car to Coleman State Park or the Swift Diamond Riders club house where there is always great snow. See you on the trails.

Here are some feedback comments from one of last years renter.
Dave ,
Thanks ever so much for the wonderful time My Son and I had staying in your Colebrook Cabin (Home is more like it) for Sno-deo. I want to mention too "everyone" it is better than what is expected... Home is on dead end last one looking at Gourgeous Views.. untouched fields of snow with placed fir trees ...I told my Son it was a Currier and Ives picture... along with the PRIVATE TRAIL ( short distance .1 miles ) that hooks on to Trail 5/18 as stated...Perfect place for great sledding without the extra 45 minutes -1 hour drive to Pittsburg. 2 places nearby for fuel for sleds (never ran out) ...and only a 10 minute drive to Colebrook Town Center if you ever forget anything...
When Dave told me to bring only your food and clothing... It's exactly what he meant !!!
Dave and his Wife met my Son and I there on Friday Feb. 29th late morning as planned. He greeted us outside in his large driveway, you can turn a 2 place with plenty of room for a 4-place also. He gave us the tour...3 levels - 5 zone heating... a place to keep outter wear on racks in heated half level basement...They have out done themselve's on the decor, seeing is believing... very spacious living with 3 bathrooms... 2 bedrooms (downstairs) each with 2 Large twin beds, dressers, lamps and other Excellent lighting ...The most Comfortable wev'e slept in anywhere !!! ( if needed, also w/ heated blankets nice touch !!!) and several windows, sitting area w/TV and a bathroom ... (upstairs, he calls loft) 2 bedrooms w/ bathroom between them, 2 Large twins and a queen in the other...A full kitchen, gas range/oven, large microwave, dishwasher, large refrigerator, plenty of cupboard space just for us... They have any kind of pot & pans imaginable, along with Coffee pot's / makers -3 kinds? mid hieght table w/ stools, phone w/ emergency #s if needed...(nothing is needed trust me)...Full Bath on this level ... Large living room has Direct TV & audios, Gas fire/wood looking stove ( mesh screen ) in front of the all glass looking South towards the Balsam's ski area and rt 26 of in a distance ( can see the Kidderville store/fuel, Diamond Peaks motel)...3 easy chairs (some recline) w/ ottomans...and full length couch...
You don't have to cover your sled at night or place back in trailer...as the parking under his wrap around deck works very good. It snowed the whole weekend (Friday - Sunday) and neither sled had any snow on them at all... The plow showed up to clean it before we had left...
Little hint here, If you have a Wife that doesn't sled ? ...she would be more than comfortable here with the tranquility while you were off sledding the Great North Woods.
