If you want her to really be happy with the lodging, I can think of no better place. They have direct access to the trails, and they have locked and guarded sled storage too.

If you want to stay in the Lakes Region I would suggest Samantha's Inn in Tamworth. They have an indoor pool as well as a Restaurant and Lounge. Maybe Paul, George, or someone else from the other side of the Ossipee's could suggest something in the Moultonboro / Meredith area

Dmconstruct glad to see you made it over to this site from the "other site" :pardon: You will find EXCELLENT information from the guys and girls here w/o the BS you find at the other site. I too will be up that same weekend. I will be crashing in Loudon at my buddies place though.

Hey Oldtimer, would you be interested in another "highspeed tour" similiar to that from this ride? http://www.slednh.com/forums/index.php?sho...asure&st=60 I was the guy on the Blizzard who came along with Iggy and the guy on Iggys old XC 500. If you scroll down to the pics in the link I am in the center back with the honeycomb balaclava on.

You'll be sitting right in the middle of OVSC trails, SOS is close by, Mountain Meadows, Sandwich sidehillers. You're all set. Outlet shopping 20 minutes north for the ladies

Sadly the faux fighter is sidelined. I took pity on it and decided not to beat it any longer. It's on the waiting list for a slow restoration. Perhaps with a mild engine build, never can tell. It gave me 4,200 miles of smiles, it's earned it. I'm now confined to riding the club's Bearcat 340 @ 7 mph dragging the trails smooth down on this end of the world.

Sammy's is an excellent place to stay...was just there a few weeks ago and the pool is up & running, along with the hot tub. Nice restaraunt/lounge to relax in after the day is over also.

Here's a tip: When you joined the club you also joined the NHSA. NHSA members get an additional 10% discount at sammy's, so make sure you get your NHSA membership card and have it with you when you check in... :good:

And if your children like the zoo, bring'em over to Canoe King (just down the road) and see if Barry is in. He puts on quite a "monkey" show.... :yahoo:

Please, join a Club where you regularly ride...and when you see a Groomer Jar hopefully give what you can as every penny counts!

Sorry to hear that the "Silver Bullet" is down for the count. Can't really blame her though you definelty put her through the ringer!!! :) Dragging the trails smooth on the clubs Bearcat should be an honor as the trails out your way have always been very very good. So THANK YOU for your time OT!!Wish I lived in NH..If so I would definetly help out more than a simple trail donation at the time of registering with my club and the occasional donation jar found at local stores. -triple

Thanks! Come summer, if you can get away for a weekend, you could help out a bit on a bridge construction or brush removal..and if you would like, we could arrange a ride along in the tucker or prinoth this winter...

I think for the sleds maiden voyage Im looking into Ossipee to Conway I believe thats about 21 miles each way. I'd really like to hook up with some veteran trail riders who know this backcountry.

Ossipee to Conway is a mere 20-25 minutes, and as of right now you can't go past south Conway. It's a nice run, but it's not anywhere near as fun as the greater OVSC and SOS trails.
You'll want to buy an OVSC map, and an SOS map. Both can be found @ Canoe King just south of Sammy's Paw Print.
I suggest a run out to the Great Hill Fire Tower in the OVSC trails first. It's super simple to get to, and Heminway road from the fire tower east is pure heaven. Take the Bowles trail out, hit the fire tower, ride down and back Heminway road, then return to Canoe King via the James Pond Loop, a left (fork) off the Bowles trail just after you re-cross the paved road on your way back. It will take you directly back to the Bowles trail. Then go north on the rail bed to SOS trails. They do a superb job with grooming and trail signs, and you'll have a great ride out that way. Bring your camera and share the pics of your ride here.
Have fun!
