They've been moving along with this project at a pretty good clip but still have a ways to go. Things look very different through there.

The're at Diamond pond rd now. Not sure how much further they are going Seems like alot of $$$$ spent on 26 when 16 between errol and Milan is in ALOT worse shape. AS Motie said its weird driving though there now some people gained alot of front yard and others lost alot

Rte. 26 isn't completed, but most of the construction is done for the season, and will resume in the spring. They are still hauling fill in the big Uklid type trucks. It's really a great job. I live just before Diamond Pond Road and do appreciate the new road. It is used by a lot of tractor trailers moving goods from north and west New Hampshire to Portland Me. I realize that Rte 16 is rough, but not a much truck traffic travels that route. :D

What are they exactly doing to 26? Just repairs or more?

Straightening and widening.

BTW Route 16 north is pretty good right now (at least to the 7 Islands lot). You can go about 50MPH compared to the 25-30MPH.
